The Panang curry, spring rolls, and vegetable dumplings from Thai Shack made for a satisfying meal with bold, balanced flavors and enjoyable textures. Everything arrived hot, with the curry creamy and slightly sweet, the spring rolls crisp, and the dumplings tender and savory.

Overall this is my go to Thai takeout spot. However since it does have some delicious food the wait time is normally long averaging 30 minutes so I always do take out and order ahead. The food is delicious, and always hot. You won't be disappointed!

Small Thai take out, not much seating. Every time I order take out, they do not provide utensils or napkins. Just a box of food. Today, lady at the front rudely pointed to the bag and told me to get my order. Please work on your service and include utensils or at least some napkins with take out orders…

To me, Thai food is like Chinese takeout. There are restaurants everywhere, but it's difficult to find a place that does it exceptionally well. On a night when my husband and I found ourselves craving some Thai food, we took a chance on the Yelp algorithm of suggestions and landed at the Thai Shack's door.

The weekday lunch special is a great deal. A light salad and spring roll are served with some preselected entrees, and it's here I have to give the peanut dressing some hearty props. I don't know what they put in that sauce, but it was all I could do to keep myself from licking that little bowl clean. For our entrees, we both went with noodles. I was initially disappointed that the serving size seemed smaller than expected, but don't let the plate fool you - it's enough. At least, it was for me because I felt full well before I reached the bottom. My beef pad see ew was incredible, with tender pieces of beef and a delectable sauce that made me want to spoon it over rice. My husband also liked his pad thai, with lots of soft chicken pieces. If we had any compunctions with our meal, it was that our noodles were a little heavily sauced and teetering just slightly on the salty side.

Service here is friendly. That, along with the cozily dressed interior, makes dining in a pleasure. I was especially appreciative that water glasses are filled from water bottles instead of tap (say what you want about food in Jersey, but the taste of its unfiltered tap water is absolute trash). The kind woman who took our order was open to small customizations (such as undressed salad and added spice in my pad see ew, which is normally presented as a non-spicy dish).

Ordered a larger Tom yum, and literally only found 2 shrimps in there. I made sure to ask if this was a shareable appetizer and they assured me it was☹️

Ever since the ownership change this place has went downhill!!! Food is less flavorful, less meat, and overpriced. They didn't even add scallions or peanuts to my pad thai! This use to be my favorite pad thai place.

Some of the best fried rice I've had since moving to New Jersey. Staff is very accommodating as well. They stayed open past their closing time for me to wait for my uber eats driver to pick up my food when he was running late.

Just got takeout and spent over $30 for dumplings, soup and Pad Thai. I usually get 2 dinners and 1 lunch from an order like this. The dumplings were smaller in size and quantity from the last time I ordered. The soup portion was also smaller than anticipated for the price. The Pad Thai was okay and the portion was okay. I think the prices were a little high. Now I read that the ownership had changed. This place is conveniently located but will probably drive to Hackensack in the future.
