Had a great time. Service was great, ambiance too, but most importantly, the food was great. Very handicap accessible and as a result, stress free for me. Would absolutely go back again.
It's a really nice restaurant with plenty of room. Fire all over the place however it was dark when we went so we could not see the water. It's a beautiful place. I would love to have an event there. The waitress was great and the food was really good. Definitely recommend the flounder in the Beti salad.
Amazing service, very attentive and acocmidating. The food was okay some things better than others - fried calamari was overcooked and too hard to chew, the kids burgers were also overcooked and dry, flounder and oysters were amazing! So were the meat dishes. Would recommend for anyone to come and try. The drinks were outstanding
Pleasant cozy ambience..fireplaces were lit and the lighting added to the overall warmth in this lovely setting. Even the lights bouncing off the water was beautiful. Our apps were very good and dinner didn't disappoint. We love the atmosphere here..lovely on patio in warmer weather and easy to move indoors during cooler weather. All in all we are lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood!
The lunch was delicious and the service fine. However, the noise level was so high that it was impossible to hold a conversation.
My salad was very mediocre, not even remotely close to the Greek salad. I didn't feel like returning it, but mot sure will order it ever again.
The ambience and service were good; however, the drinks were quite poor, essentially pure alcohol and not as described on the menu.
Birthday dinner! Perfect view; great food. Attentive service. A little loud with an event in the room beside our table; husband complained about his chair being too hard. But I had a lovely time.
The drinks and appetizer was-served promptly. Our dinners took much longer. The waiter claimed our order was between 2 large parties. My husband asked for the manager. She told us the same thing. We are premier members. They did take 15 percent off the bill. The restaurant was not crowded. Even the bar was empty. We will not go back anytime soon.
Without being mentioned on the reservation, they thought it was a good idea to force only having outside seating because they said they had parties inside. This either was false since we were there from 5:00 till around 6:30 and there was nothing going on or they were lying to people since there was some people still seated inside. It was a very poor experience. Also our waiter didn't even seem like he wanted to be there.

Celebrated my daughter's birthday at the Boathouse and everything was delicious and Server Amanda was great!
Beautiful location and great food. What more do you want? Had a table outside for lunch on a gorgeous late summer day - wonderful!
Outdoor seating to enjoy the lovely setting beside the reservoir. Indoor space also well designed. American fare including salads fish, burgers and such.
Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. The food was not good. The hamburger was mediocre- the bun was stale and fell apart. The skirt steak was chewy and stringy and the crab cake was dry and salty. The staff is more than helpful. We were very disappointed.
We're regular diners at McLoon's and it's one of our go-to places for a nice dinner out, but this visit was far under par.
