Musttttttttt try. Best tasting Habachi in the area, with the cheapest prices. Can’t ask for much more.Make sure to get an extra yum yum sauce as well. If you don’t enjoy your meal here I will personally refund you. Too confident in this place ?

I just randomly stumbled upon this place one day while I was looking for hibachi. It’s a lowkey spot but the food is SO good and they’re so nice .

You really get what you pay for; take your $14-$15 hard-earned cash to a more authentic Japanese restaurant that knows Japanese cuisine. There are a couple on Rt. 1 in Woodbridge.

Pros:
* Yum-Yum sauce.
* Friendly customer service.
* Sensitive to allergies.

Cons:
* You get a ton of rice, not too much else.
* Rice is quite plain and very salty, mostly butter and soy sauce.
* Salmon was overcooked, mostly dry, not great.
* Veggies were so-so.
* Clear soup was cold me for and underwhelming.
* Heat was not working in the building per the staff and was very cold inside.

I will not be going back for another visit.

You should definitely check this place out if you can, it won’t disappoint!This place is honestly awesome! We went here for dinner last night and I got some shrimp tempura ?, the salmon hibachi and my partner got the steak hibachi. The steak was cooked to perfection and was very flavorful. Now as for the salmon- I used to think I didn’t like salmon but this place totally changed that for me, it was PERFECTLY cooked, it was caramelized and it was so flavorful, the rice was also really flavorful and the perfect amount of salty. The zucchini in the vegetables mix was well cooked, not overcooked that it was mushy or undercooked that it was hard and bitter but just right and it paired really well with the broccoli and mushroom in the mix- but the sauce?? Oh! The sauce was delicious! I would actually just go back for that sauce cause ooof! It was good on everything I put it on. It tasted like a sweet aioli and it made me so happy.We also got some sodas but that’s nothing to write home about other than it being really cold (I like cold drinks).They also gave us a chicken broth with our food and it sit really well with my stomach.We were the only people at the restaurant, which really seemed a shame because it’s such a good establishment. Aside from the food being delicious, the costumer service was elite! The lady at the front was so kind and caring. She checked on us during our meal to see if we liked everything (which we really did as you can tell) and when we were living she asked us twice if we wanted a bag to take our left over food which was really attentive and super caring in my books. That is going above and beyond for me and I really appreciate it.Other than that, the place was really clean, they had both a trash and recycling bin, the heating wasn’t working but other than that the place was in good condition.They also had Taylor Swift on their screen and as a Swiftie that’s a BIG APPROVED from my part!You should definitely check this place out if you can, it won’t disappoint!

Ate here for dinner with my family on Thursday, November 16, 2023. This is a "hole in the wall place" that serves really tasty food and good portion sizes at an affordable price. I ordered the Hibachi Salmon, my wife ordered the combo Hibachi Salmon and Beef and my daughter ordered the Hibachi Chicken. All very good! I would have given 5 stars except for three things. First, the dining area does need some work to make it look more appealing. Second, the dining area was cold and we ate our food with our jackets on. Lastly, I did not like the fact that when paying by credit card, the tip calculation is inclusive of the credit card processing fee.

Very pleasant surprise with this place. Steak and shrimp were both cooked very well. The noodles had a good chew and a slight sweetness that was welcome. While the rice was good, I would recommend the noodles.

Update: After reply to her false claims, owner’s answer disappeared. Why erase an answer if it is honest and accurate?
Case in point.

Reply to answer below:
Exactly, there is no processing fee yet you attempted to add it anyway under the pretext that it was tax. That is the whole basis of my explanation. You confirm my own calculations of tax being only $1.10 for a $16.99 steak, shrimp hibachi dinner yet, as clearly explained in my original review too, you quoted me $2 extra in tax for a total of $18.80, not $18.12. You essentially added the $.60 processing fee anyway and more, attempting to rob me of almost $1. It was only when I questioned this that you returned my $2 change. Now, not only are you confirming how dishonest you are, you are trying to give the impression that you did me a favor. How shameful. The reason I didn’t lose my hard-earned money is because you landed on a customer who saw through your scheme.

You are fully aware of this but I’m not the one who has to live that way. There are terrible companies and people out there that need to be exposed and held accountable which is the point of a review system and you are one of them. Your sarcastic responses and unprofessionalism to genuine reviews is very evident too. Apparently there is something wrong with the business and your customer service as you have to defend and try to prove yourself right, customers wrong for every point made. Attempting to rob your own clientele is not the way to run a business. Complete Crooks.

Original:
Scam artists…and they are brand new!

The lady at the counter asked me if I was paying cash. When I asked if there was a fee to pay with card she gave an unclear response, first saying a few cents, then sixty cents extra. I let her know I wasn’t aware and that I’d be right back w cash from my car. When I returned, the amount she said I owed as I handed her twenty dollars didn’t sound correct. I questioned the 2 dollars extra for tax for a steak, shrimp hibachi which was just under seventeen bucks. The tax on that should have been 1.10, not what she was trying to charge. She essentially had added the sixty cents anyway, and then some, even though I was paying with cash. The food is not worth the menu prices, let alone the extra she tried charging me! When I questioned this, she starting typing on her calculator nearby in a flustered manner and then quickly handed me back the correct change instead.

Disgustingly bad business to try to profit from honest, hard-working customers. Do they think inflation affects only them and not customers too? They don’t have table service, tips should not be expected, and they certainly have no right to scam their own clientele… Never going back to give them my hard-earned money.
