Sometimes, when they say "support local businesses" the subtext is actually "give them a slack" - this isn't the case! So clean, so tasty and delicious and so many flavours to choose from. And such a nice place.

We were so happy to happen on this quirky/ funky restaurant with all sorts of knick knacks and eye-catching collection of memorabilia on the walls. The food was delicious and the service super friendly. Grand Bank is a sweet place by the water's edge and this restaurant is in a very nice section of the town. We happened to have Rachel as our server but she is also partly responsible for some of the food preparation. The owner of this establishment has been proudly serving the community for 40 years. Her staff are dedicated to making this the best possible dining experience for anyone who comes in. We were visitors but we could see that there are many loyal customers, locals that come in regularly. I feel confident that you will be guaranteed a positive experience if you visit.

This is a most unique shop. It's filled with memorabilia of past times. The food was great and the staff friendly. Beware though, the date we were there it was a cash only situation (no credit card or bank cards accepted). Not sure if this was a one-off or if this is the everyday situation.Worth the visit.

My wife & I visited for lunch. Loved the location and atmosphere of the cafe. Our server was polite and took our order right away. We each ordered a sandwich, and that is exactly what we received. Do not expect fries, coleslaw, or anything like that along with it. You could probably order as a side if you choose at an additional cost. My sandwich was something like what my mom would have made me when I was 6 years old - hardly anything in between the bread slices. Tasty, but you will get more meat and toppings in a sandwich purchased at your local grocery store - and probably pay a little less. Also, bring cash - they don't take plastic.

I try to visit Sharon's Nook every year I visit. This year was a disappointment. The Pea Soup was the saving grace, it was delicious but we ordered a Roast Beef sandwich and it was some sort of minced mush of Roast Beef and relish. It was green, tasted sour and was plain gross. There really should be a description under their sandwiches as some people cannot have relish due to allergies or even just preference. Generally if you order a Roast Beef sandwich it's simply the meat and Mayo or Miracle Whip. Sometimes with lettuce or tomato but we were unpleasantly surprised. When we mentioned it to the Waitress she didn't care, she didn't even offer us a different sandwich or offer to take it off our bill. $40 for 2 soups, 2 teas, 1 piece of cheesecake and a sandwich we didn't eat. Poor customer care compared to most places I've been. The unbaked cheesecake was sickly sweet. They also took my favorite dish off the menu, the Cod au Gratin. I hope it improves as I have enjoyed them in the past.

What a neat place to find on my road trip! So much character and charm with lovely people running it. Everything was fresh, fairly well priced, and served quickly. Good portions - even options for half portions of things, which I appreciated. Loved that the locals congregate here and are welcoming and friendly to those passing through. Many unique things for sale and on display as well. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again!

3rd year in a row. And like always food was awesome. Love my yearly trip to the nook. Scallop casserole is to die for.
Honestly very poor service. Had to wait 30 minutes for my soup while the rest of the table was enjoying there’s. When I asked if my soup was coming they said “oh sorry I forgot”.

Walked in..very unique place with lots of old nfld memorabilia from the past...the breakfast was great and the 3 ladies in the kitchen were friendly and they even sat down to the table next to us to have there breakfast i presumed. But the negative and what made us uncomfortable was a grey hair breaded older man with glasses looked like a local with nothing else better to do...he was sitting right up to the counter where you ordered ...after we were paid for our meal...he keeped looking over at us constantly and he didnt stop . Then he was on his phone for a second and after he got off he was shouting obscenities and cursing...something you don't want to hear first thing in the morning. Then during our entire meal he stared at us until we paid and left. Very rude and disturbing behavior to have someone like that in a business thats serving cusomers.

Update Oct 2022: we have lived in Grand Bank since February and Sharon's is our goto breakfast/brunch and now supper place to go. The Club house sandwich and fish cakes with beans are our favorites. (Previous post 2021 & Feb 2022) Grand Bank is a good fit largely due to the friendly welcome and great experience (not to mention fabulous Cheesecake) at Sharon's Nook. The staff and patrons as well as tourists make this the place to eat should you find yourself in Grand Bank.Parking: Never a problem, ten available spots and of course the permissible street parking here in Grand Bank.
