Not everyone can eat screaming hot Chile. It would be nice if they also had a mild one. I assumed my brisket enchiladas would come rolled but they were flat. The brisket was very good. We had to ask for silverware then extra napkins. (As did other patrons)My husband's shrimp fajitas came out and he had to wait for the rest of the fixings which finally came out with my meal. This is one of the rare places where we had to pay for chips and salsa. Just a "so so" experience.

The food was a bit bland but cooked well. The serving sizes were on the larger side but not over the top. Our server was very good and attentive. The atmosphere was what you would expect at a Mexican restaurant. Drinks were good. We had the Carne adovada with beans and Calabasitas. Drinks were low and slow, and cucumber margarita. We will be back but probably not a regular place to eat for use. Perhaps a good bar outing.

Food was FANTASTIC, our waiter was great but it took a VERY LONG TIME to get our food. They were short staffed and had problems in the kitchen (what our waiter informed us). I'd return though hoping it's just on off night.

I had one of the worst New Mexican cuisine dining experiences of my life at Cocina Azul! The chips and salsa were pretty good and out waiter was very nice. The food was low quality, poorly prepared, and poorly presented. The red chile was watery. The sopapillas had an odd sweet flavor despite being incorporated into a savory entrée and I'm pretty sure they weren't fresh, possibly frozen. I gave service three stars because our waiter was nice and friendly but service was painfully slow and disorganized. I absolutely don't recommend this place for New Mexican food. If I were Frank, I would be embarrassed to have my name associated with the quality of dining my wife and I experienced last night.
Cocina Azul is one of my top three Mexican restaurants. In my opinion, the food is absolutely delicious. The service has always been great. We typically sit at the bar. The bartenders are amazing as well however, on February. 2, 2024, Our server/Bartender was snarky with me when I placed my drink order, which was simply a Coca-Cola with lime. My meal was delicious. I paid with my credit card. I left a tip on the receipt. On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, I checked my bank account and discovered that my server bartender increased the tip amount. I contacted a manager and was told that they would speak to Alondra about her falsifying my tip amount and steeling from me!. Just a warning to customers who pay with a credit card. Always check and make sure you’re not a victim of such crimes that are committed by restaurant staff. ?
