Classic New Mexican diner here, and the family recipe for carne adovada is as good or better than any other you will find. Served with huge, super fluffy sopapillas. This is a must experience in New Mexico. Like so many places these days, the are a bit understaffed, but service was very friendly. It seemed like everyone in the place was a regular as servers all seemed to know what every diner's "the usual" was. If you want the real New Mexican deal, this is it, and it's right next to classic route 66.

Not really, the machitos are full of fat. I do not recommend them. Of course, the gizzard has fat, but not so much, so in excess, the fat even runs off the plate and the staff is very rude to the clientele.

While the restaurant is much more unassuming than other places we visited on our New Mexico trip, it was hands down the best food. Carne Adovada was so tender and flavorful and the beans were so much better than any other restaurant.

I really did not want to comment but last Saturday we went with the whole family and we ordered some things, I wanted hotdogs, hamburgers, machitos and quesadillas but the food was really bad and those machitos dripped with fat like water after the first bite, apart from the fact that they had a very unpleasant flavor... aaa not to mention that the roast meat is seasoned with hikory barbecue seasoning, because the quesadilla with roast meat tasted like barbecue ..
The food is not good and the service is not to be said. The woman who served us had a very bad attitude! And he didn't place my order as I asked for it. When the food was ready, he just threw us the plates of food. I do not recommend this place.
