I went for the first time during spring break and they have the best Ruben sandwich ever, there waffle fries are perfectly seasoned and the way they make there milkshakes are amazing. The staff is amazing and really nice and the setting is really unique. I would recommend this place to anyone staying or driving through Carlsbad NM, 10/10.
Price is very decent. 4.00 for a single scoop and these scoops are huge. The hot fudge on the strawberry ice cream was gooooood! The atmosphere is really nostalgic. Reminds me of small town America for sure (and I guess that fits considering we were in Carlsbad) ?. Lunch menu and food items that others were enjoying looked very decent and seemed well priced but we did not participate. They have a kids menu so if you have a picky kid like we do, they have chicken tenders and all the usual things.Parking: They were pretty busy, and there were plenty of places to park.

I was so looking forward to having lunch at the kaleidoscope's ice cream shop when I heard they had catfish. My wife had the cheeseburger basket and I had the catfish basket. I also ordered onion rings to try. On the upside, the onion rings were one of the best side orders I have had. I could not eat all the catfish because some of the pieces were not fresh. No more to say about that. My wife's cheeseburger had an unusual texture to the meat and had no seasoning on the hamburger patty. Lettuce, tomato and bun or adequate? I didn't try their ice cream my wife did and said it was okay. I was very disappointed. As you can see The cheeseburgers cheese was not melted.Parking: Lots of parking around the whole buildingWheelchair accessibility: Everything was on the same level parking lot street front entrance

Didnt even think it deserves my 1 Star but had to in order for me to be able to even Post this Awful Review!!! So here we go a couple days ago me, my bf, & son went to get some Milkshakes and for 3 Small Milkshakes it came out to $24.79 and they said they didn't sell them any other size & also went thru the drive thru and it still took a little over 20 min of waiting at the window by the time we get our milkshakes and then on top of all that the Milkshakes weren't even all that!!!Definitely was NOT WORTH the MONEY Or The WAIT!!!! We won't be going back there ever AGAIN!!! I rather go to McDonalds and now u know that's pretty bad if I rather go there for any type of ice cream products!!!! ????? ? ???? ? ????

Ice cream tasted great. There was a sign on the door asking for grace with staff and tip them due to them being short staffed and the workers choosing to show up for work each day. Which when you hire children you choose to hire their inexperience with work and not understanding time management. When we went in, there was only one girl upfront helping people and three other girls in the back laughing, talking,playing around, and complaining about how it's not closing time yet. Why would I want to tip them as a group when only one person seems to be working?

Ice cream parlor that also serves a limited menu of hamburgers, salads, soups, quesadilla, corn dogs, etc. This was a perfect dinner spot for something easy and simple.Food:-Rueben sandwhich-corn dog- Green flip- quesadilla w Green Chile and beef-salad with lots of various vegetablesTbh, I sampled several ice creams and thought they were just all right. My partner didn't like that the server handled cash and scooped ice creams without washing his hands between though the staff were all friendly and helpful.
