Had some great beers here as we were passing through Carlsbad. The Brown and Red ales were a treat as many brewers don't try or don't do as good a job as Milton's. I recommend you stop by for beer or, better yet, a flight.

Lovely place but couldn’t stay due to the smell. The 4 febrese continuous air fresheners are toxic to someone with adrenal problems and I had to leave. Total bummer because its a cool place.

What a great place! Enjoyed talking to the owner Lucas, his Dad, and another brewer/bartender that I didn't get his name. Historic building, very good beer and ale, very friendly staff. Local gathering place. I hope we can visit there again. If you are in Carlsbad, this is a must stop.

Great brewery in the heart of Carlsbad’s downtown. They host a variety of events, with something to cater to everyone’s needs. amazing staff, drinks and environment. Definitely a must stop when visiting Carlsbad, also a great place to meet locals!

Just walked in at 1:59!! I politely offered to turn on the open sign. Owner said we don't open for another minute and I can do it. I walked outside as two locals walked in. Both sat at the bar and were being served as I walked back in. I looked at the owner as I walked back in making sure it was 2pm and he said "well looks like you can tell time now". I said seriously. He said get "the fu&6 out I don't need your business!" Never visit this place. Rude owner!! Looks like I am not the first person to think that the staff is not very friendly!!
Great beer. Very friendly. Cool old building. Trivia night is fun. Try the Stapler Red.

Loved this place!!! I didn't like a couple of the beers I had, but the rest were top notch. The bartender was attentive, knowledgeable, while also being sweet and chatty! Before leaving I asked about 6 packs and she instantly offered to can up beer for us on the spot even though she had a busy taproom. (I work in a brewery so I understand that canning by hand is not only time consuming, but doing it while you have a full taproom AND working alone is something I'd never ask of someone as a customer.) Next time we're in town we'll definitely be back!
