When traveling, we always look for authentic diners especially on Rt 66. Food and service were more than acceptable. A great place to stop when traveling west to Arizona. Great atmosphere, worth the stop.

What a great place. We're traveling cross county and have eaten countless meals along the way. This was the best breakfast we've had in months. We're only here for one day and wish we'd eaten here for dinner! It's clear that the food is made the old fashioned way with fresh ingredients and the time needed to create authentic tasting food. Also, such lovely staff and owner. Loved it!

Loved this diner. The good ol' Route 66 vibe is definitely here and prolific. We had fast and friendly service, very attentive waitress. And the food came in the large portions, so great bang for your buck.

The service was amazing.. the vibe and atmosphere in New Mexico is unexplainable, you have to be there to get it. People are just down to earth and I feel at home. The tamales were too spicy for me but the beans and rice were good, I gave 4 stars because I'm sure if I ordered something without the kick it would have been great, but it was the warm customer service I received that allowed me to write this review.

Great little place. Fast friendly service. Had Christmas enchiladas and both chilis were really good. Husband had basic breakfast. Very good!

We were looking for a restaurant that serves breakfast after 12 in Gallup New Mexico. By happenstance we found route 66 diner. Old-school diner style breakfast served all day. The wait staff were excellent, the food was delicious, very clean, extremely well-made and great presentation. Breakfast lunch and dinner. If you’re in the area and hungry for large portions delicious food go to Route 66 diner

The diner was clean with some cool decor. The employees were polite and talked to the regulars but didn't talk to me. I sat at the counter just so I could talk with them but they didn't engage. I ordered the ribeye and enchilada platter. The enchiladas, beans and rice were pretty good but not amazing. The ribeye was pan fried or on a griddle. It was cooked to medium as I asked but it was the toughest steak that I can remember eating in a long time. I took several bites but left most of it. They didn't really seem concerned that I didn't eat much. I didn't complain either I just won't ever go back there

What a happy accident it was finding this place. I was looking for somewhere to have breakfast and Having my dog with me I thought I'd need to settle for drive-through (Which they have) But instead I was able to sit at their covered outdoor area. The staff is super friendly and the food was really good I highly recommend stopping as you pass through this area

Cute little 50's style diner on Route 66. Menu includes American food and New Mexican food. I had the Navajo taco that is basically a taco on fry bread, and it was great! Wife had a sopapilla with fry bread and it was delicious (little heavy on the beans though).

We loved this place for lunch. The strawberry shake was the perfect pink confection and the beef burrito with both green and red chile was mmm-perfect. The grilled chicken salad was full of fresh vegetables and the breakfast burrito (delightfully served at 2pm) was savory happiness. The server was fast, attentive and funny. Can't recommend highly enough.

We spontaneously decided to try this and were so glad we did. Seemed like it was frequented by locals, service was excellent and portions were generous and tasty. Had chorizo and eggs and chorizo was great, along w generous portion of hash browns, beans and eggs. My wife had French toast and it was cooked perfectly - with 3 whole pieces of toast.

Food was fantastic and priced very well. The staff was super friendly and inviting. The decor was incredibly well done and really have that 50's diner feel. Overall 100% a place to stop and eat if your driving through or down route 66.
