I loved this visit to Ruidoso and the breakfast here at this cute, clean restaurant was excellent. The staff were so upbeat and kind. The pastries, coffee, and food are excellent. We will be going back.

Has a big issue with one of the pies, but they did fix it with an immediate change out or refund if I had wanted. The food looked better than it tasted. I had the French dip and it was bland and fatty. My wife had a patty melt that was bland as well. The price does not relect the food I am sorry to say. Maybe we just hit on a off day. We will give it another go in the summer when we come back.

The food here is okay and the pastries are delicious but service was HORRIBLE. My partner and I are clearly Hispanic and the differentiation of our service to everyone else around us who were White was extremely obvious. Samantha, our server was obviously bothered every time we requested something from her. It took her 20 minutes to bring me 3 creamers for my coffee, she didn’t even use a bowl like she did with everyone else and was just rude. The couple dining in next to us noticed this behavior and offered me their bowl of creamers hence they weren’t being used by them. It took 30 minutes for us to receive two pastries. As everybody was dining in, two of the men who looked like they were in charge, would ask everybody around us how they were doing, would let them know their order was on the way and just ask how they were doing and we were never looked at. Clearly if the management of this facility carries this racist behavior it’s understandable why we were treated this way by our server. Very disappointing that in this era we still have people carrying this behavior. So cruel and unprofessional. Definitely never coming back, extremely disappointing.

We enjoyed this in the past, but we really enjoyed it on our recent visit. It was the nice spot we started our morning when in town on vacation. Whether I was in the mood for a New Mexican dish or something sweet. There were options. The staff was friendly and prompt. It's just a nice place in Ruidoso.

Overall, the town of Ruidoso in general is one of the cleanest and nicest in the country. Beauty is all around. When you see horses and deers walking in the streets, that is splendid itself. This place is really awesome too. The menu options are exquisite.

Weird from the door back. The cashier takes your order at the front, then serves any desert and seats you. This slows down everything to a crawl. We were in line behind 2 parties and stood their in line 15-20 minutes. Food came out timely but without 2 of 5 plates. Food is OK, nothing special. Bakery stuff was very good but lunch not so much.
Very disappointed with the amount of people waiting in line to order and having the slowest employee running the register. There can be great customer service with some regard to a sense of urgency so people don't have to stand in line for close to an hour. The food was not up to par. Waffles were very cakey, parfait was watery and lacked many of the fruits that the image suggested it would have. OJ was no longer freshly sqeezed, unfortunately. Tasted as if they mixed store bought w real oj. No real maple syrup as well, was replaced with the fake stuff. Had it on our list as a go to for a while but I will no longer be returning. Hopefully this will reach them and something could be done to help improve service.

First off, if you want fresh squeezed orange juice this place is not it. In cruces, we go to Sam’s club and the employees will squeeze the oranges right in front of you and give them bottled up in jugs to sell, and we can keep it in our fridge for 5-7 days and it still tastes fresh. Here, they charge $7 for a cup, that’s a straight up joke.Next, don’t order the cranberry and pistachio granola for a light breakfast. They didn’t put strawberries or grapes, it was literally pineapple and cantaloupe which also was not fresh btw and it was watery. I only ate the granola part and a few fruit before I stopped because it was just making me angry.Last, there’s only one employee up front getting the orders, creating a ridiculous line for no reason. The efficiency here is awful.It’s not the best breakfast in town, it’s not. The bakery was the only part that was not bad, but the Cloudcroft bakeries are where it’s at.We won’t be coming back. It’s the second time we came here. It’s been over a year since we tried it again on a Sunday and it was again a disappointment.
Lots of gluten free options covering a range of breakfast and lunch items, as well as some sweets. GF items are well marked, the staff were knowledgeable, and the food was tasty. Plenty of options of the non-GF crowd as well. Recommend.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free items, clearly marked.
