I used to live near this restaurant, and I've seen several coffee shops and restaurants come and go in this location. It took until earlier this summer for me to try the current occupant, a no frills New Mexican eatery. My girlfriend and I met up with two old buddies from high school for lunch, talking a table near the front door. Great place to eat if you're overwhelmed with the tourist crush in StFe, and you want good New Mexican food which is reasonably priced. It feels very local, not all glamed up. They have a few Mexican dishes also. Have enjoyed the tamale plate & enchiladas with mole rojo. Small place on Cerrillos right next to the Lamplighter.

Hidden gem in Santa Fe. I ordered the (5) tacos under the Mexican menu and was surprised to hear the waitress say I could get a variety of tacos. I got (3) carnitas and (3) carne asada. They were delicious. My husband ordered the shredded beef chimichanga and I got a few bites of his dish, it was just as delish! I'll definitely be going again.
