The BEST steak place in Santa Fe!! My favorite place I like to go to celebrate special dates or just a night on the town. From the appetizers to main course and desserts, it is all so good and yummy. I can't just pick one. Not to mention the great staff working there. Truly a wonderful place to go.

Talk about a romantic bday dinner for my husband! We booked the domes and it was definitely a vibe. They allow you to play your own dinner music, it was so warm and cozy with the added faux fur for comfort. The wait staff was attentive and available. The food is decently priced and very delicious, compliments to the chef for a fabulously curated menu! We're originally from Maryland and my husband loved the crab dip!Dome details: credit card to book, $100 minimum per person, seats 6, but probably 4 comfortably, cake cutting provided for a fee.

We wanted to catch Market Steer in the Don Gaspar location a couple of more times before they move. The service as always is impeccable. Like a true old school steakhouse, everyone on the staff anticipates your needs and makes you feel special even when it's a packed house. The food, as always, is top notch.
David our busser was the sweetest! The drinks were wonderful. The Som- Tyler was knowledgeable and easy going. Andy, behind the bar in secreto was personable. The overall experience was wonderful, we will be back!

Dinner at Market Steer is always a great experience. We both ordered steaks and sides, a bottle of wine and shared a dessert. What struck me as different, was the martini at $17 with a $3 up charge (we specified the "well gin") and an additional $1 for one bleu cheese olive. $21 for a average martini? That's a stretch! Great service from Ian, but no Santa Fe Restaurant Week Menu. It was my wife's birthday as indicated when I made the reservation; there was no mention of that, not even a single candle in the bread pudding ;-( In the past there was always a little something extra.

After securing a reservation, this steakhouse cancelled because of a clerical error on their part, moments before our scheduled seating time. No recompence was offered. To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. How we were treated reflects the poorest customer service.

We have had the pleasure of eating at some fine restaurants but this one has surpassed all of them! The people, the atmosphere, the service, and above all, the food are simply outstanding! We were greeted by warm smiles and warm hospitality! One of the owners, Kristina, even shared an anecdotal story with us that allowed us to feel more like old friends than guests! Our server was knowledgeable and very informative about all the wonderful food selections. One very important point, was she was attentive not intrusive! We got to simply enjoy our food and conversation without being pressured. We felt we could have stayed until closing! Our filets were mouth watering and cooked to perfection! My diver scallops were succulent and cooked perfectly! The Lobster Mac included a full Lobster tail! I simply cannot convey what a special place this is! We will be back at their new location to make more memories! Kristina and Kathleen.....BRAVO!

The service is unlike anything I have experienced previously. The staff is attentive and helpful. Then the food and drinks begin to come to the table. Everything is fresh, the flavors are spot on, and presentation is perfection.

As a person who work in this restaurant for almost 2 years and has had enough distance since being employed there I can say that Chef is a master of her craft. she was an incredible leader to her kitchen team and staff, and her food is impeccable she is extraordinarilytalented. However how the front of house manager/co-owner Handel's things with staff members is less than to be desired. For starters she has severe favoritism over the servers then the back servers or any other people on the staff outside of management. All of her servers are white men with the exception of one white woman while all of her back servers (bussers). Are all young adults of color with no opportunity to move up the ladder to server. Which is unfortunate since the Backservers do carry most of the load when it comes to keeping the restaurant together. Any tasks that need to be done will be delegated to the back servers with no consideration of time or their already established workload. She has clearly stated in front of her only female staff (I was present) that "if she had it her way she would only hire men because it's too much drama for her". Meanwhile she plays favoritism with the only female server there who makes it her own personal mission to get into everybody's personal life with the sole purpose of getting them into trouble at work. Not to mention that this server is extraordinarily rude to her tables face-to-face and behind closed doors. The work environment there is very clicky which is unfortunate since most of the staff are very good people.Shout out to Ian, Russell, Max and Chef who are always there to lend a helping hand and words of encouragement, they truly cared about holding a healthy happy environment at Market steer.

Everything was outstanding, the staff, food, and ambience! We loved the wine, muscles, ribeye, bread, we have absolutely have nothing bad to say! Highly recommended from TEXAS!
We had a great dinner and dining experience at Market Steer. Chef Kat adds that perfect New Mexico chili flavor or flavorful truffle in just the right way. My steak was grilled perfect, tender and full of flavor. The service is very attentive without being in your way. Be sure and save room for the best bread pudding you'll put in you mouth. Wonderful evening!

The steaks were delicious; one of us did not like the heaviness of the pepper and salt "spicing" of the steaks by the restaurant. When your waiter warns you about it, consider asking for less.
