Used to love this place. Not sure what happened in the last 7 months but the martini menu went from about 30 to 14 different martinis. My favorite "Jameson Mist" was taken off the menu.Came back tonight to get that cocktail and was upset to find it was off the menu.Sat for 5 minutes figuring I would at least ask if they could still make it. Noone even acknowledged us being there, and the bartender was 2 feet from us the whole time.There was a 5 dollar cover which I hadn't had to pay in my previous visits, but that combined with the reduced menu and lack of service we just left, and went to the loose cannon, which sadly had also went really downhill.Definitely some issues going on with both of these bars and it's no surprise that they are "sister bars" and managed by the same people.Used to be one of my favorite places (arguably THE place to get martinis in halifax) so it's really disappointing to see it slide downhill like this.

The Bitter End isn't exactly up my ally, which is fine. One thing that stood out to me during my late night visit was how friendly and well trained our server was. She was great! I wish I had gotten her name to thank her. We didn't eat. However, the food that passed our booth looked well prepared and with large portions. DJ wasn't very good.
Not my vibe, martinis we're alright, very loud but my server was great.

My new favorite martini bar. It is low, high-end for people who want good martini and don't want to do fancy .If you love martini and you haven't visit this place ! You are missing out. They have other drinks as well.

It took me some time if I should rate this place so here goes my group's experience:If you are looking for a "Karen service" bar and want to wait ridiculously long to be served your drinks, then look no further! Tuesday, August 29, 2023: Six friends and I walked in around 11:00 PM to continue an enjoyable evening. The hostess/waitress sat our group within a couple of minutes of entering the establishment and said she would return to take our drink orders momentarily (kitchen closes at 10:30 PM). As we continued to wait, we began to notice that the waitress was taking much longer than expected. We watched her walk from the bar to a table outside; back to the bar and to a different table inside and so forth. We began to time her. From the time we timed her, it was close to 11:30 PM by the time she returned to us. Everyone ordered a single drink and I ordered a glass of water. I watched her punch in our orders and continued to wait on other tables (approximately 7 tables total). I watched the bartender pour what appeared to be our drink order and left to use the restroom. When I returned, our table did not have any drinks. Fifteen minutes passed and one of my friends and I discussed what to do as the rest of the group had begun to get loud regarding the terrible service. We decided to give the server and bartender an additional 10 minutes before one of us would get up to find out what was taking so long. The server passed by and waving her down, we inquired about our drinks. Her response was they should be ready shortly. Another 15 minutes passes and my friend walks right up to the bartender and within 5 minutes, everyone other than I had our drinks (just past midnight). The server said she would be right back with my glass of water. I waited an additional 10 minutes and watched her wait 4 other tables and she still did not serve me a glass of water. There was plenty of room for my glass of water on her tray. I walked right up to the bartender to get myself water and the bartender was not impressed; she rolled her eyes, and was completely unprofessional towards someone who is the DD (designated driver). After the alcoholic drinks were finished, we paid the bill and left to find a much better bar. And we did! If you want great service in a fabulous atmosphere with pumping music, I highly recommend Durty Nelly's Irish Pub.

Absolute worst service I've ever experienced - we had been there for a couple hours enjoying their cocktails, when it seemed like the serving staff had completely forgotten about us. The service was slow and unreliable to begin with, but at one point it had been a whole hour since anyone came to check on us. We were ready to order more drinks but after having waited so long, we just got our bills (which took another 30 minutes), because the person previously serving us was now working the bar, and no one had picked up his table, I guess? I still haven't heard back from management with regards to this experience - my guess is they make enough money from the younger crowds that they don't care about the quality of what they offer. There are FAR better options for a cocktail in Halifax - try Walter's on Barrington!
