This is a lovely little spot, and its staying open during the pandemic (albeit at a bare minimum level of operation) has been a bright spot for the kw neighbourhood.
We ordered your coffee and breakfast this morning and it was delicious:) I was craving a really good cup of coffee and this hit the spot.
My favourite London fog. Staff are always helpful and welcoming!
Great place to pick up a hot beverage while getting some PT done (exercise).
We just stopped in and picked up a hot mocha, 2 blueberry muffins, lemon poppyseed cranberry muffin and a small Thai chicken soup. Everything tasted great! The soup was AMAZING! Social distance was practiced and the woman who served us was very nice. This was our first time going there and we will definitely be going back!
Mon séjour d‘agente de bord a été adouci par leurs excellents café, sandwich, smoothie. Merci
Delicious coffee and tea creations. I particularly enjoy the chai latte.
Very nice atmosphere, great selection of sweets and coffees, highly recommend for a coffee break
There's a Pokemon go stop right here and I was able to battle Arlo while being nice and cozy with a latte inside
A great coffee spot, friendly, warm and fast. Perfect place for a visit on a cold day.
Delicious coffee. Reasonable prices.
Nice little cafe- friendly staff and good food !
Wonderful coffee! Great sandwich and soup combo, so good I had to have it two days in a row. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and super location! If monasteries are as cool as this place, sign me up!
This cafe has a cosy atmosphere with relaxed decor in the lounge area. It has wifi and the coffee is good. One block back from the waterfront and lots of restaurants in the area.
Very rude customer service. It was our first time visiting and both employees were very short with us, and they had items on their menu that were “not available during this seasonâ€. They need to change the signs if product is not available. I will not be coming back nor will I be recommending it to anyone I know.
Well done team. Thanks for the great service
If you order tea, they make your tea bag right there, using the leafs of the flavor you want.
Loved this coffee shop. Stopped in this morning. Had a bagel and egg sandwich which was tasty and reasonably priced. Coffee was good too! Sat by the window and people watched.
Nice and relaxing atmosphere with a good selection of both hot and cold beverages
The food is good, the coffee is good. Great selection and a comfortable place to work, study or hang out. Lots of space downstairs and on the street as well
Their debit machine does not work and their employees don’t do anything about it. Now I understand this was not his fault but the responds was unacceptable. The server at the counter said very sarcastically “well it’s not working so have a great day†& did not offer any solutions. They had made half my order so you are wasting food which is awful in itself. He mentioned that this is an on going issue so I’m confused as to why it has not been fixed. Management should be on top of things like this as you aren’t going to make much money with non working equipment. This individual should be taught some customer service skills as I have been here many times and never received the negativity I did today from any other worker. I work just up the street and come for lunch often but after this I will not be returning.
This was just down the street from where we were staying. Perfect for us to stop in for our late afternoon coffee after our activites.
The "Lethal Buzz" is a great pick me up if you don't have a heart condition.
Local with a beautfiul atmosphere. My go to is a caramel apple cider or a latte. I love that they have a cozy downstairs area if your looking to work or want to go somewhere a little more private. One of my fave downtown coffee spots to go to!
Had the Almond Croissant and Matcha Latte; which were both great. Cozy seating and very friendly staff.
Great coffee, great atmosphere, staff are very friendly and helpful.
I just stopped in for a cappuccino, what a delightful spot. Friendly service, excellent cappuccino.
Great ambiance and decor. Lots of natural light and windows seats. Great coffee and more seating downstairs. I don't know it's because it's called the wired monk or if it was a Saturday around 5:00 with no suits but there was a bit of a zen like quality.
I was visiting Halifax, a friend of mine recommended this place. When I arrived the staff were amazing, suggested me the best or the most famous food. I stayed to work on my computer and they have a very nice environment to work or chat. The food was amazing!
You know the coffee is good when a black, dark roast drip coffee completely hits the spot. Awesome find while visiting Halifax! Gluten free snack options are a bonus as well.
Great coffee in a cozy atmosphere. The egg bagels were fantastic too. The staff was nice and friendly which always makes the visit and stay more pleasant. As travelers, these types of local managed establishment brings a sense of "being here" you can't get at a commercial shop.
My favorite cafe in Halifax, by far better than any other cafe in the area because they know how to make authentic Cappuccino and the cafe decor and atmoshper is retro and very inviting. This is kindo place that you can read your book, work and chill out.
Really enjoyed this place. During our visit we would go here for great espresso and lattes. Their bagels and wraps were also very good, and everything is reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you're in the area or if you're heading towards he seaport farmers market or garrison brewery, which are relatively close by.
Love this place! Best coffee in the city imo
One of the top places I miss from when I lived in Halifax. Can never finish a trip over in Hali before I make a stop here. Always great customer service and such a great atmosphere
Great atmosphere, the tea and treats are very good Thry do need more staff, however.
Great food! Good choice of pannini and stacked sandwiches. Homemade iced tea and lemonade etc.
Tasteful interior, the staff were not very friendly to us even though they seemed friendly to a few others who might be locals.
We went for breakfast twice. Great deals for a delicious bagel sandwich and a healthy yogourt parfait. Lots of menu options. Great coffee. Friendly service, cool atmosphere. If I lived her I feel like I'd come her too often for breakfast. Don't miss it!
