Best veggie burger I EVER had! I have traveled and had veggie burgers in many places but THIS IS A GASTRONOMICAL EXPERIENCE Real fries, fresh ingredients and great service. If you’re lucky the owner will walk out with something for you to sample that is over the top. The service is so friendly and you truly get that small town cafe experience.

Cute, very friendly place. We had lunch there. Food was simple and not too expensive. We had fried pickles, a chicken salad wrap, and fish and chips - all were totally fine, especially the fried pickles. I would go back there for a quick bite to eat.

An unexpected stop attached to Canada's oldest in operation general store, Frieze & Roy. Entrance is through the general store in the off season or through the front door/patio during summer. Lots of fun stuff on the walls and great seating. No table service. Grab a menu off the counter and order when you're ready. Prices are REALLY good for the big-sized portions, even better when it's the daily special. The food is typical diner/pub style so it's all deep fried. But if you're just looking for some something to eat that isn't gas station chips, hold out for this spot.

Cafe was recommended by the B&B we were staying at. Service was fantastic and friendly. Food (Chicken burger and Donair) was very good. Building is from 1839 and has a cool atmosphere. Would definitely return.

THE PANCAKES ARE A MUST!!!! On top of that the breakfast special was exceptional.Parking: Lots of parking in the rear of the building. It also hosts a beautiful view of the river meeting the ocean.Kid-friendliness: The owner gave our daughter the red carpet treatment.

Best.smoked.chicken.everNo word of a lie, this was the best chicken dish (drum sticks) I have ever eaten. The smoke was perfect and the sauce was epic. Many many thanks to the owner for recommending this dish. I can't say enough good things about it.We will be back and we will spread the word. This is fresh food, not fast food. Best burger I've had in a long time, and my favourite fries so far. The food came out hot. There was cold beer and a warm atmosphere. I will be back to try the ice cream, for sure :)
The decor is nostalgic and interesting. The service was lacking. Tables weren't cleared, food was cold and sent back. Returned the fish and chips without the fish. A few nice young ladies working there but they gave poor service. Food was ok. Some healthy food choices would be nice.
