A cute little restaurant in Yellowknife based on local food. It is really neat to see some creative uses of fish, like their fish wings! The restaurant also has a little shop that has frozen fish, fish sausage and fish cakes, as well as fermented and processed goodies like pickled spruce tips and marmalade.

I do not know how it was. Because there was a dog loose in the parking area that attempted to attack my dog. I had to yell at and charge it for it to go away. I am adding a photo I took of the dog before it came across the street.

It’s like a backyard garden party every day! I had an oat milk latté and the smoked fish hash. Top notch local food. Service was fantastic, prices were very reasonable. Float planes were landing in the background and it was sunny with a nice breeze coming off the water. Heaven.

Without a doubt the best place to eat in whole Yellowknife and one of my favorites during my visit in Yellowknife.Had an amazing brunch at this place. The smoked fish tasted amazing and the Sous Vide Egg was cooked to perfection. And all of that for a quite reasonable price, especially compared to other restaurants in that area! The people working there were super nice and the whole place felt really cozy.Would love to come back here in summer when you can sit outside and watch the lake and the seaplanes take off.

Wonderful staff, cozy atmosphere, only a few tables so make a reservation on busy nights, big portions and everything super yum!

Once again, best meal in Yellowknife or just about anywhere! We ordered the charcuterie as an appetizer. The fish was incredible as were the array for flavours ranging from the candied smoked trout to the pastrami smoked trout, the smoked coney and a fish spread on crispy sourdough triangles. This was followed by several unique creations. One was green beans in tempura made from crushed fish roe - sublime! Another was trout skewers on a bed of potato/walnut confit with a fennel/apple topping. We also tried the grilled zucchini on a bed of crushed peas topped with grilled Chinese peas in a yoghurt sauce with fresh mint & other spices. So light & flavourful. The atmosphere is inviting & appealing. Comfortable couches along with tables overlooking Great Slave Lake. Definitely need to repeat often!

Unique ambience with art on the walls and displays of homemade jams and spreads. Delicious sandwiches (we had smoked fish and spicy pork) and fish chowder. The owner is very friendly and we had a great lunch amidst exploring Old Town.

Amazing food. Drop them in a major city and they would be on any food critics 'must eat' restaurant list. Very creative dishes with fish and unique preparations. Great cocktails, very hospitable staff.

Food and service were excellent. Our food selections were beautifully presented, and introduced unusual and delicious flavors. The chocolate/cherry and lemon/coconut deserts absolutely could not have been better.

Wow, what a fabulous restaurant! I wish we had discovered this two weeks ago when we arrived in Yellowknife- we would have been here every day!!! The brunch menu is superb and really unusual! I had the bacon sandwich with homemade tomato jam- yummy! My husband had the eggs huevo ranchero. Every ingredient was housemade, including the masa cake! He declared that it was the best huevo ranchero he had ever eaten. Our grandson had the kolache donut with raspberries, cream cheese, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. He declared it was amazing! Our daughter had the chai oats, and said it was a yummy and healthy choice! Our lattes were fabulous, as were the coffees. Toasted marshmallows are a fun and special addition! The ambiance, seating, fun games, great service and gorgeous view complete this place! We wish we had hung out here every day for coffee and a treat (amazing sweet treats baked daily!!) Go! You won't be sorry!
