Lupo closed permanently a couple of months ago. The new restaurant in this spot is Carama, also by Wolfgang Puck. Menu has changed and is more expensive!

We were here on Sept 1 for dinner and had an amazing dinner. So sad to hear the place is closed for good now. The non alcoholic drinks were good. The appetizer- Frito misto was very good and perfectly fried - Zucchini, Shrimp, Calamari. In the main we ordered Linguine alle Vongole which was delicious and Sea bass which was good. The cheesecake was amazing to end with. We got a very attentive server. The ambiance is also very posh.

We were seated right at opening. At first, the service was very friendly and nice. The food is spectacular! The pan fried pork chop milanese was very tasty, still juicy even though it was served sort of katsu style. There was a special that evening with scallops that was not on the menu. It was delicious, to say the least. The Alaskan king crab mezze lune was amazing! Even the chargrilled asparagus was served with lemon aioli butter, which made it very good. Overall, there's nothing we can say bad about the food at all. Everything was superb. It's just too bad the service didn't live up to our expectations, or the restaurant's reputation. First of all, our server casually asked us if we wanted some bread for the table, and we said sure. However, when we inspected the bill at the end, we noticed a $7 charge for bread. Who does that? Most all the nice restaurants we go to serve complimentary bread before dinner, and if not, they will tell you what the charge is. Our server just sort of slid that one in on us. We believe once the server found out we weren't drinking, he pretty much left us to ourselves after that. We had to wave down other staff to get refills, get our bill, things like that. Speaking of the bill, that's when things went real sour. To make a long story short, we had to have the bill returned to us three times to have it corrected. The weirdest part of our entire visit was at the end, our server stood right over my shoulder and stared as he watched me enter the tip amount into the little machine he put right in front of me. That made me feel very uncomfortable. So, I would only give about two and a half stars for the service. But, the excellent food makes up for some of that. I just wish we would have got the kind of service that warrants the pricing.

The staff was amazing, very attentive, and professional. I had the Wolfgang Puck Pinot Noir, which was very enjoyable. Our appetizer was the Fritto Misto, Crispy Calamari and Shrimp. I wish I had known that fritto misto means battered and fried. It was well prepared with a very light batter and fried to perfection, with delicious dipping sauces. However, I would have chosen something lighter if I had known. That said, the portion was unexpectedly large and is easily enough for two or even three people to share as an appetizer. Our entrees were the Pan Seared Alaskan Halibut and the Grilled Colorado Lamb Chops. The lamp chops, while pricey, were very good. However, the halibut seemed to lack flavor and was too dry, in my opinion. The vegetables were nicely cooked with good flavor. The restaurant is very large, and on the night, we were there, it was very noisy, even though it was not at capacity. Prices are relatively high, and while I didn’t expect large dishes, I was expecting something more elevated or innovative. Given that and the noisy atmosphere, I don’t see myself trying this restaurant in the future.

Despite making a reservation and a nearly empty dining room(5:00PM), the hostess led us to a table located next to the service area. When we asked to be relocated, she brought us to a table up against the wall in the back. We asked to sit on the veranda and were reluctantly accommodated. I chose the bolognese and was surprised to learn of the pasta choices- spaghetti, rigatoni or penne. I chose the rigatoni but was looking forward to the pappardelle as featured on the website menu. My dinner arrived cold and the rigatoni was chewy. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan that he said was tasty. I sent my order back to the kitchen. Not worth the money.

I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. We arrived pretty late in the evening and had a party of 18, which they were able to accommodate quickly. We started off with oysters on the half shell and fried calamari. The oysters were pristine and the calamari was flavorful. I had the Roasted Half Jidori Chicken, Sautéed Escarole, Anchovy, Herb Chicken Jus. It was hands down the best chicken I've ever tasted. My husband had the Pan Seared Alaskan Halibut, Shaved Asparagus, Fingerling Potato, Lions Mane Mushroom, Brown Butter. The taste was superb, but for a hungry man, the portion size was a little small (three very small fingerling potatoes). Next time we'll know he needs to order an additional side. Another in our party had the Chicken Parmigiana, San Marzano Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil, Wild Arugula with a side of Spaghetti al Pomodoro, Basil, Parmigiano-Reggiano, as suggested by the waiter. The portions on this were huge and he said it was excellent. Good wine, great atmosphere, decent service. I'd highly recommend Lupo!

They were out of the food we wanted to order. We order to dishes and they were awful. Wasted $300, never again!

The food was very tasty. The service was good. The manager came by our table to make sure everything was as expected. The follow up email with a 20% discount for return business added a nice touch. The meal portions are extra small. I think we were still hungry after dinner so we ordered bread. We were still a little hungry after.

I'll start by saying that our server, Daniel was amazing! The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was the food. I ordered chicken Parmesan, and it was BEYOND dry. Even when I asked for extra sauce, it didn't help. I also had a side of creamy polenta, which was also a combination of dry and gummy. My granddaughter shared her eggplant lasagna with me, and it was excellent. My daughter had spaghetti marinara and it was ok.

The food was fantastic...bar none. The server was great! Did have to wait even if no one was around for our reserved table...but for Gluten free food, was so worth it! The salad, main course and dessert, all tasted fantastic. The server really knew how to differentiate with GF and regular foods. Would come here again. Only wish is that they advertised the Gluten free foods on their menus. Also have GF pizza I'm told!Dietary restrictions: GF Pasta and cake

LupoWe came here for my daughters 9th birthday… we thought she would like it since she watches the Ramsey cooking shows and Wolfgang Puck is a hues star sometimes. The food was delicious! We got the calamari to start, and some bread with olive oil and roasted garlic for dipping. The calamari was cooked well, no too bready and the dip was yummy, both of them. The girls didn’t like the garlic oil, but I expected that.My oldest got the slain spaghetti and she said it was good. The birthday girl got a cheese pizza, but she wasn’t impressed. She likes Little Ceasars better. The crust was thin, so if you like a fluffy crust, you won’t like the pizza. My bf got the Braise Veal Osso Buco. He really liked it! It was cooked perfectly and the flavors were on point, we recommend completely! I got the Lobster Fra Diavlo… and it was amazing! I was so bummed that I couldn’t take it back to the hotel with me, I loved it!They brought us a little cake with a cannoli for my daughter, we had them personalize it. I would definitely recommend coming here for someone’s birthday who has a bit more of a sophisticated pallet. Our server was nice and he did well explaining the menu, he actually changed both my bf and my minds from what we originally wanted. We recommend this palace, 100%.. just make sure your group likes more upscale cooking. Delicious!!

We absolutely LOVE Lupo. The food is always amazing the calamari is the best I've ever had and the non alcoholic drink options are a 10/10.I had the agnolotti and polenta and my fiance has the Bolognese and calamari.Everything was great! The agnolotti could have had some more flavor, felt it was missing something but the polenta was bubbling with flavor!! Overall great meal as always!!!
