So good that we ordered from this restaurant multiple times last week! I think my personal favorite it the teriyaki steak. Also great prices which will make this restaurant a go-to whenever we want to eat out.

I have personally never had true poke from Hawaii, my girlfriend has. According to her, Makai has the most authentic poke she's had off the island. Makai is even better than her favorite mom and pop shops in the SF Bay Area.I completely agree, the tuna poke is cut into larger chunks then the other guys and they actually cure the chunks. Each bite is nice a firm and packed with flavor. Our favorite is the spicy poke.Sides-wise I would highly recommend the Kimchi Slaw and the Mac Salad. Both are super good on their own but pair nicely with everything else.In my personal opinion, everything leans toward the 'well seasoned' side but the rice balances everything out.I hope their other locations are just as good at this one.

i love makai! anytime i go, i get the bowl (2 scoops rice + teriyaki chicken + wings), however the rice is almost never good. it’s always mushy and never separates. i’m not sure what they use to make the rice, but i’m thinking they need a rice cooker! besides this - i have no complaints about it!

Basically hawaiian chipotle/Qudoba. Food was delivered via Uber eats, paid for a large only got 2/3 of the food (a medium). May be better in person… long story short DO NOT use a delivery app, the restaurant doesn’t care and won’t ensure the right order is given (even if the driver expressed concerns). Did not get 1/3 of what we paid for. Will NOT order again. Food itself was mediocre at best, places like “L & L” and “island Flavor” are 10 times better for quality and flavor. Will not visit again.

This place used to be my favorite place to eat. Hawaiian flavors Hawaiian music playing and Hawaiian vibes. It's lost its touch throughout the time a business being open. You come in now you have teenagers playing in the back no one in the front to take your order and inconsistency in the quality of the food. Every time I come something tastes horribly different first it was the spicy poke. This time it was the salty macaroni. I've had it I will not be spending any more money with this place I don't recommend this location. Maybe the other locations are better we shall see......

Spicy Poke is to die for…The plate was delicious I actually ordered my food through their website and delivery was by DoorDash. The reason is because a lot of people complaining missing items so to fix that and avoid issue just order your food through their site not DoorDash. Bonus is was cheaper not by much comparing to DoorDash

Ordered takeout medium bowl today with teriyaki chicken and steak with salad. Overall, the bowl was a great lunch. Good portion of chicken and steak, well flavored and sauce on side. I just wish the rice was less over cooked; a little mushy in texture for my taste. Will try their other items next time !

2 years ago, you could get a filling bowl for $6.99 and a 1/2 lb poké for $7.50. Todays price? $8.99 for a bowl and $9.99 for a 1/2 lb poké. Thats a 30% price increase for the same amount of food. Price gouging restaurants deserve to die off

Having spent a lot of time on the islands, I was so stoked to find this place! Their food is close to Hawaii and the price is right! They have your staples and the best poke and mac salad around! I mean with so many Poke places, these guys really do it right, even down to how they cube the fish, on point! My fave in poke, Mac salad and Kahlua pig! But they close sundays for Ohana time :)!

I've gone to this location three separate times, with a few weeks in between each time, and EVERY TIME it's been different. My first order was tasty, enough to make me want to return! The second time was terrible, my order was wrong and macaroni salad was ALL OVER both bowls (when only one bowl was supposed to have macaroni salad). Plus the corn had been dumped on its side and leaked all over the inside of the bag. Now this time we only got ketchup as the sauce, but no ACTUAL sauce. Three attempts, with only one attempt being a good meal, how sad. I won't be returning, that's way too many mess ups for a "good" location to have. Make sure you read through the low reviews of this place before attempting, they tell you how it really is here

The food was good for a quick lunch. The macaroni salad had a good flavor but also had potatoes in it. Didn't care for that. My chicken katsu and pulehu steak was delicious. The garlic edamame was divine. I'll be back to try out other items soon.

First time visiting! Saw their as on Facebook and decided to try them. I'm glad I did as being there led me to Classic Tattoo through a Google search. Anyways, the ordering was rather simple and the portion was large! I got a medium which means you get two meats. I got the chicken katsu and the teriyaki steak. Sides were sweet corn and macaroni salad. I ate it all but could definitely have had leftovers. They had a steady flow of customers so I can tell they are doing something right!Features: Employees wore masks.

On Instagram, I discovered their page and had to check them out! Their known as like a Hawaiian chipotle I ordered their large bowl which included two scoops of rice, 2 sides and 3 choices of meat. I ordered their chicken katsu,Mochiko chicken and kalua pig for my meats and my sides were Mac salad and tossed salad with their creamy sesame dressing. The katsu was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside, kalua pig was tender and also moist and their Mochiko chicken had a nice fried crunch. The food was plentiful, tasty and cooked fresh while the service was fast and the employees are helpful. Nice experience for my first visit and would come back again!
