The husband and I had a date afternoon for the firs time in a long time. Our server was a delight, the food and drink was just want we needed. We will definitely be back.

First off let me say that the food here is amazing. We have eaten here many, many times and have never had a bad meal. The attention to detail, food-wise, is exceptional - appetizers, entrees, everything is delicious. Our waitress this past visit was outstanding as well. Now for the reasons for only 3 stars. The wine selection is awful - really disappointing. One would think that they could offer a higher quality of wines to pair with such amazing food. In looking at the bar offerings overall, they are lacking. Second complaint was the seating. We were sat at a tall two-top squeezed between two other tall two-top tables. We could have passed the salt between ourselves and the couple next to us without even leaning over. It was challenging to have a conversation without feeling like we should use our “library voices”. There is absolutely no need to seat people this close together. The restaurant was not even near half-full and it would have been more appropriate to space customers out. Also - just remove one of the tall two tops and give people some space. Again, great food. Highly recommend it but the other things need some improvement.

We took some special friends for a special occasion. We started with old fashioneds, the warm beet salad (wonderful!), and the ceasar salad (very good). Then we had the double elk chops (which were FANTASTIC!!), the the duck breast (which my friend loved VERY MUCH), and the salmon (WOW!). We ended up with spumoni for dessert, along with the filled donught, and the cinnamon bundt cake. All I can say is WOW! This place is fantastic. A bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny. The food was fantastic, and the service measured up to the best restaurants. Thank you WPH, we'll be back.

The food is amazing with a great selection of wild game, and comfort food. Our server Erin (I think) was amazing, very attentive and great service!

Unique menu. Very good flavors. We had the shrimp and Scottish eggs for appetizers. Both very good. For dinner our meals were the duck, schnitzel, salmon. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes.

Absolutely disgusting. Tri-tip salad had the most gigantic pieces of lettuce that I had to cut. Tasted just like lemon. The meat that was on it tasted old. Tri tip was in chunks (served best sliced) like that is so tough to chew. The lettuce wraps definitely need more sauce of some sort. The only thing I can say was good was escargot but how do you mess up garlic and butter? The server said that the tri-tip is made to order yet you can’t order it medium rare for any particular way. It just comes how it comes. From what I can tell they are cutting raw pieces of tri-tip and just sautéed it and not even taking time to actually grill a tri-tip or anything like that. It was absolutely disgusting. Spent $50 plus a $10 tip on a basic lunch and walked away with to go boxes to give to the dog and I’m going to a different restaurant. What was supposed to be relaxing Lunch turned out to be a big waste of time.I won’t go back here again.

The reason why this isn't all 5 star is the lack of variety on the menu. It's always the same thing on the menu every time you go there. The wait staff is always fantastic and enjoyable. The food is always prepared very well. Wine list could use some upgrading. If you've never been, well worth going. If you have been, like me, you will be back.

Run, dont walk to this place. Yeah yeah yeah you’ve seen it on Triple D but forget that. They are doing new and creative things with food and you should take advantage while you can!! Great people!!

Great selection of meat options including venison, duck, wild boar, and a seasonal chef's cut offering surprising options of game meats. We drive from out of state just to eat here.

The elk chops were epic! I'm not a big fan of potatoes, but these potatoes almost stole the show. They must be hard seared and they pressed them with a fork, so they were like mashed potatoes on the top and skin side was like potato chip crispy. The demi-glace was solid as well. A bit spendy at $75 (MP), but I still say it was worth it.

Disappointed by the Experience

While the food presentation was visually appealing, unfortunately, the flavor didn’t live up to the look. We ordered several items, including the Washoe burger, which was extremely dry and overwhelmed by mustard seeds it really overpowered the entire dish. The mac and cheese was the one bright spot and the only item we’d consider ordering again out of the six we tried.

Service-wise, it wasn’t terrible, but we were told the manager would be upset if our kids played near the picnic bench. As a parent who values respectful behavior, I found the warning unnecessary and a bit off-putting especially when it was absolutely dead on a Sunday at 6pm.

Lastly, while we were eating, a couple walking their dogs mentioned the restaurant might be under new ownership and that dogs are no longer allowed on the patio. I’m not sure if that’s true, but it added to the overall vibe of being overly strict.

If a restaurant is going to be this particular about policies, I would hope the food and hospitality would shine. Sadly, that wasn’t our experience.

Also there is no kids menu. Not that that’s a big deal.

For starters, the ambiance is stark and minimal (and not in a good way). The table top was sticky and the menu had crusted food on some of the pages. Then the drink that I ordered was so bad I had to return it . . . and the next drink was horribly watered down. My sisters entree was beautiful and very tasty (center cut pork chop), but my two appetizers (that I ordered for a meal) left me sick that evening. I can't say for sure that it was the food, but it left me wondering. Also, they recently had their pet license expire, so you can no longer have your pet outside on the patio area when you dine (which use to be a major attraction)! Overall, I would suggest trying somewhere else.

What a great find! Service and timeliness of the appetizers, drinks and entrees was excellent. Food was really good. The chairs could use some upgrades... they are the folding-type and you sit sorta low at the table....and they do not feel very sturdy
