Visiting Reno for a couple of days was told about this place. Walking down the Riverwalk District and ran across their convenient location right on the river. Beautiful decor, great food, wonderful presentation. Prime Rib sandwich was awesome. Posted dessert empty plate. Wanted to post a picture of the bread pudding but ate it too fast. If the portion looks small on the sandwich and fries, it is because that is 1/2 order because my wife and I split it. Plenty of food. Great portions Great fun afternoon will certainly come back. Taylor did a wonderful job Very comfortable environment.

The river view was what you would expect. The service was exceptional. The food was not quite what is expected given the price. Overall- I'll go back on a lovely summers eve

My boyfriend ordered the pork chops and he said they were the best pork chops he had ever had. I had the chicken picatta and it wasn't very goodChicken was extremely tough. But, overall the dining was nice. Definitely go back. I just wouldn't order the chicken picatta.

The food was delicious. We sat outside and it was very cold. I don't know why they don't have heaters for outdoors. They took very long to bring out our food. There were other tables that got their food before us and came in later.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu

2nd time there, and our experience was disappointing, this time. I made the reservation for 3 of us and a friend who was visiting. Then I shared the OT reservation with him. We arrived about 3 minutes late, explained that a friend was meeting us, and asked if he had arrived already. We were told not yet. They seated us in the back room which pleasant and took our drink orders. Our server introduced herself, and we said we were waiting for our friend. When our drinks came, our friend texted me saying that he was there. We waited for him to be brought to our table, but he didn't show up. My husband finally went to the hostess desk, and said that our friend had apparently arrived before us, and they became flustered, but did nothing. My husband went to the other part of the restaurant and found him. We all had drinks, but the hostess decided to move us to the bigger room, so our drinks and we were moved. A manager came and apologized later for the mix up, and said he would make sure we got good service. But our server was ok, as he did not check back soon enough when my husband wanted a glass of wine, nor when I needed another bottle of sparkling water. Moreover that room cleared out for the evening and with it our server's attention. As we left, we could see that the back room where we were originally seated, still had plenty of diners, and still had a nice buzz. As opposed to the closed down area we had just left. Our food was fine: wedged salads, chicken piccata, meatloaf, and a ravioli special. But this was not a particularly pleasant experience. Especially since we had brought a guest.

Was there after my son's wedding it's amazing how a place that looks small can accommodate a wedding party. The menu was great, it was nice they had kid friendly drinks for the toast so the ring bearer and flower girl could have a drink from a champagne glass.Dietary restrictions: I have allergies to shell fish the waitress was able to help me pick something with no so shell fish in it ( forgot to bring my glasses to the restaurant).Kid-friendliness: We were there for my sons wedding, the staff was great about including the kids in everything including the toast

What a disappointment??!! This was our 4th visit to this favored finer dining restaurant on the Truckee River in Reno. We had been looking forward to this dining event post-Reno Phil concert across the street at the Pioneer Center. Ambiance, service, menu, food presentation as always outstanding, previously one of our faves when we are in Reno. Our last visit was Summer 2023 during one of their outdoor music evenings. This recent visit revealed a much more pricer menu then we both remembered. A light dinner with a shared antipasto salad (very yummy), two appetizers to be shared, a couple of glasses of wine ($13 & $15) and a shared desert. The appetizers were nicely presented and again, very tasty; 3-crab-salmon cakes for $18 (maybe a little too "bready", but tasty), a suggestion would be a 4th cake for an even 2/2 spilt for an appetizer for 2-people. The "killer" to this meal was the 3-micro-mini "seared scallops" appetizer for $28!! These were the smallest scallops we had ever seen in all of the years of our dining out (we're in our mid-60s)!! We truly felt cheated that somehow our "good food karma" had finally runout and the kitchen staff just randomly plated the 3-smallest scallops they had. NO, an adjacent table also ordered the scallop appetizer and their's were as small!!! The "kitchen" blew-it with their presentation of this scallop dish. First at $28, it should be a standard plate of 4-scallops, again a 2/2 split for a couple. Whether it was their seafood supplier, a bad night for the chef, whatever; someone should have made the executive decision to serve at least 4-scallops this evening due to highly unusual micro-mini scallop portions they apparently only had on hand. We only wish we had a photo!! We certainly are aware that recent times include higher labor, supplies and food costs for dining out, but this $28 "theft" of an appetizer menu item was way over the top. "Wild River Grille" enjoy the profit margin, we'll never back!!
