I come here every Tuesday for dinner and trivia. Trivia is awesome here on a Tuesday night, and it's pretty busy then. The general atmosphere is fun, with a sportsbar feel. The food is inconsistent, however. I haven't had the wings, but the pizza and burgers are good. I ordered Philly cheese chicken sandwich, I've ordered before, but last night I had to return it, as it was very salty. The one they replaced it with was fine. Also good are the tater tots, which you can order as a side or by themselves. I also wish they'd return the good salads back to the menu. Service is very friendly and efficient.Parking: large parking lot, with several handicapped spaces.
The host and servers are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a local bar atmosphere. It’s a large place with huge TVs broadcasting every sport imaginable and then some. The menu has lots of choices with the typical bar food, but good quality. They have a wide selection of beer on tap and bottles, as well as hard liquor. It isn’t so noisy that you can’t talk so it’s a good place to relax, eat fresh food, and have a conversation.

We stopped in after our great lakes adventure and we were thinking it’s a Saturday night and we were going to have a wait because they were busy. No wait! Staff was polite and customer service was great! Food did not disappoint! Amazing wings! Fries were delicious. We even have a snack for later! We thank you for maintaining quality during these economic times. We will return!!

Date of visit: Sat Feb 17th, 2024As far as Buffalo institutions go the Anchor Bar is one of the most well known. So we decided to check it out -for the very first time and see what it is like.This is a place that is popular with sports fans, who enjoy wings, pizza, and other sports watching meals like that.We ordered a variety of ‘classics’ from the menu - to get the real “Anchor Bar” experience.Wings, Beef on Weck, buffalo beefsteaks, etc.While everything was fine - it was not great.The wings are way too overcooked, making them dry and crunchy.The beef on weck - was not what I remember as a kid growing up near Buffalo. It was bland and unexciting.The buffalo cheesesteak was fine - maybe the best thing we ordered.The boneless chicken tenders were fine - smothered in sticky sauce.The Fries were also overcooked and dry.Music was really loud - and made it difficult to have a conversation.Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She ensured our drinks were always full. It may be a. Buffalo landmark, but Unfortunately, this meal was not worthy of a repeat visit.

I'm asking for a review. I've given you people enough!! .. I have not been to the Anchor Bar on maple. How is it? Price? I know wings are getting unaffordable. Being honest. It is Anchor Bar so I'm hoping the reviews will be good . But , being a member of yelp I want honest feedback. Thanx everyone! Jmediak

Atmosphere & staff were great. The food, on the other hand, was not great. Chicken wings were way overdone, and I got the hottest offered, and they were more like a regular hot. We had a party of around 10, and everyone had 1 or more problems with their food. It was late so we didn't send anything back or complain to the staff. Definitely will if we go back & have issues.
