I'm so sad I discovered this gem as late as I did! The ambiance is very soothing with wooden tables accented by pottery made BY THE CHEF which they use for cups, side plates and ramen bowls which really brings a homey feel to the restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was incredible!I got the tempura brussel sprouts with truffle oil to start and they were so good I wanted to hit someone! Throwing in a review way too late as I think Shuya closes tomorrow. But this is/was the best ramen spot in Astoria. I hear rumors they're going to open up a Manhattan location for a few months. Until then I've got to find a new ramen

Very sad to hear it's closing on 1/15/2023. Chef promised a future project imminent, but might not be in the same neighborhood. Go for the best ramen bowls in Queens before it disappears.
