Got tuna and bulgogi kimbab. It seems like they have their own recipes which isn’t my favorite.

Best place ever. I just think that it was a bit weird since I’m Hispanic, because Koreans probably have a specific way to eat, and I was probably doing it wrong. But the food was amazing!

Sunny Kimbap is a Korean restaurant that just opened 7 weeks ago in Bayside. My best friend and I came here on a Saturday for lunch and ordered the couple set. For $22, it comes with rice cake, kimbap, and pork cutlet. - The kimbap it comes with is Sunny Kimbap, which consists of ham, egg, yellow radish, cucumber, carrots, and burdock root. The pieces were big, and the great thing was that the ingredients don’t fall apart when picked up. If you want to choose a different kimbap option, you can order it and pay the difference. - The pork cutlet was really good - I really liked the sauces. It came with 3 medium-sized pork pieces, but we were only able to finish half. - The option for rice cake was originally spicy rice cake, but we were able to switch it out for sweet & spicy fried rice cake (trying something different). Highly recommended! It was crispy and full of flavor. We believe it was gochujang sauce mixed with ketchup - pretty tasty combination if you ask me. The only thing we didn’t like was the soup that was part of the banchan - it was like.. miso soup plus soy sauce? Even though I love salty foods, it was too salty for me. All good tho bc it was complimentary. The other banchan dishes served were yellow radish, potato salad, and spicy fish cake. All in all, I recommend this spot for a casual bite - friendly and quick service, clean bathrooms, and chill atmosphere.
