I write this review with lots of sadness because I wanted to say much better things. This place was a neighborhood staple! The original owners Mr.Anthony was like family. He knew everyone in the neighborhood and treated everyone with respect and kindness. Thee best pizza I've ever had in the entire NYC and state since 99, You can't find good pizza outside the city let alone be lucky enough to have a heavy weight place on your block. When I moved, I use to miss the place so bad and brag about it. I recently revisited my childhood neighborhood and naturally was inclined to get a slice of nostalgia. I instantly noticed the vibe was different. A feeling you just get when you come to a familiar place that's been changed. I made small talk with the new owner to get a better vibe. I asked about the place and it's new ownership, rather than just answer me, he said "How did you know that?" "We don't say nothing" He looked uncomfortable with my question. Not sure why I wasn't interrogating the guy. Just asked if he knew what happened to the old owners. I told him he had big shoes to fill, this place had a very good reputation and was well loved. He smirked. He began to have a slight change in character. A bit rushful and uneasy. I thanked him, payed and went on. When I got home to eat my slice, i wasn't happy with the flavor or quality and home wasn't far. It wasn't what I remembered. It wasn't hot and cheesy and saucy and crispy. It was dry and doughy. I noticed something very unsettling and upsetting. I'm not lying I found a roasted roach underneath my slice, and I ate half of it already. Now I know roaches are common in New York I grew up here and things like that happen but it never ever ever happened to me my entire childhood eating there. Mr.Anthony would have had a heart attack. Please clean up that kitchen better. That place deserves more love. Stay true to the original pizza recipes. And mostly cook with love. It shows.

Man this pizzeria to me has to be the worst the pizzas here are no good they taste like nothing
I just ordered a sm. baked ziti with cheese, meatballs and garlic knots, pick up order was on time when I got there, the food was plentiful and delish, for only $10.50. I only wish there was more fresh garlic in the sauce and the knots but in all it was very good, thank you .
