We met with friends at this spot for dinner. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, we were not disappointed. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we felt excellent. The meal was yummy. We enjoyed every moment and we shall definitely come back again. Recommended.

Don't bother. Take out is taking ridiculously long and no one answers the phone when you call. WTF no customer service! There are better restaurants in the neighborhood. Never again!

Do not order or eat at this restaurant! I really wanted to like it as I went once and ordered once before. But today, my third time ordering, my order came with not one but two roaches hiding in the napkins!! Wtf!!! I'll report to NYC health department but wanted to write review on here. Never ever again.

Avoid this restaurant! The following problems were in my order: 1. They took over an hour to send the order out, but got my order wrong. 2. I ordered the sushi combination double and the sashimi combination. Instead they sent two sushi combinations. 3. The combos were supposed to come with salmon rolls. They gave us tuna rolls instead. 4. The combos were supposed to come with soup AND salad, but they only gave us soup. That was just the beginning. 5. The sushi pieces and rolls very small, did not look very appetizing and just tasted "blah." 6. Their tuna pieces were all full of gristle, making it unappealingly chewy. 7. One of my salmon pieces had a bone in it! All of the above for over $58! What a ripoff! Never again, Yokohama. I'll order from Palace of Japan next time! It will be money better spent that the fishy mess from Yokohama!

I have known this family & patronized their restaurant for the last twenty years. I am not a sushi guy but I do but it here because I trust the quality of the food I am getting. If you are in the area and you like sushi or cooked Japanese food.. i highly recommend a visit here.

Wonderful, traditional Japanese sushi and popular American rolls. The freshness of the fish is unbeatable. And the sushi master is terrific. Relaxed atmosphere with traditional decor. Great selection of Saki. Sushi Master will have a wonderful recommendation to go with your meal if you ask him. What I love the most is the Miso soup. Rarely is Miso soup similar to the traditional Japanese Miso in restaurants. This Miso has a wonderful umami flavor normally lacking in most places I have been. This is my FAVORITE Japanese spot in NYC.

I spent over $30 and got cheap deli sushi with two styrofoam cups of two pieces of lettuce and a slice of tomato. It legit felt as if I had ordered from a deli. Terrible. I saw and threw it in the trash. Oh! And I can't forget the two styrofoam cups of dirty water that is suppose to be soup that I received as well. People, if you want to eat Japanese from this place, might as well microwave a cup of noodles. At least you kinda know what you are getting.
