Finally after several attempts I came here in proper hours (they close early). They get the second batch out of the oven around 12.30. We had a cheddar scone (the best I ever had) and basque galette (I did not get it, but it was decent). They don't make the famous pistachio cake anymore:( The service is very customer oriented. There is no seating so we took our pastries to Usagi nearby who serve the most amazing matcha.

Came by for some pastries. When I got there around 1pm, a lot of things were sold out. They were still getting quite a bit of foot traffic as well. Got a slice of the coffee roll cake and a slice of the pumpkin pie. The coffee roll cake was too sweet for me, but the coffee taste was prominent. The cake was moist as well, but the cream was on the stiffer end.Slice of pumpkin pie was great. The puree was smooth, it was spiced very well, and not too sweet. The crust was flaky and buttery too. There's only two people working there at a time, so if there's a crowd you may have to wait longer.

This is really a hidden gem! The pastries & desserts here are really high quality. They were as good as the ones I have eaten in Japan. I came a bit later (after 1pm) and many things were sold out. I got the scone, sweet potato pie, and coffee roll. They were all so delicious! The scone was nice & savory. Sweet potato pie was so delicious - the sweet potato filling was so heavenly & the crust was flakey. LOOOOVEE the coffee roll very much! It had so much different taste & textures: creamy, crunchy, sweet & savory. Staff was very friendly and nice.

Bought a few pastries & brought it back home to eat. The pastries were far more beautiful than the photos I took - pastries got battered/smushed in the bag. We ordered to try: 1)Mont Blanc, 2) Coffee roll cake, 3) Sweet Potato Pie, 4) some Pear cake, 5) Scone (that had black pepper, scallion & cheddar cheese). Mont Blanc - WOW! Super delicious & had the right amount of sweetness. One of the best Mont Blanc I had in NYC so far. Loved the different textures, especially the bottom part (I think it was a coconut meringue). I would reorder this again!Coffee roll cake - Also another WOW! This cake was so delicious with the right amount of sweetness. You taste the coffee, crunchiness from the nut part & cream. I really enjoyed this item & I would reorder this next time again!Sweet potato pie - Super delicious as well! The sweet potato filling was splendid. The pie crust was also savory & flakey. I also would reorder this!Pear cake - I forgot the name of this but it was like a creamy pear flavored cake. It was super soft, creamy & not too sweet.Scone (black pepper, scallion, cheddar cheese) - Loved this scone very much! Super savory & soft. I also would reorder this!Staff was very nice & friendly. The pastries are high quality.I wish I knew about this place earlier. This place is really a hidden gem!

Burrow, nestled discreetly within an apartment building, is a true treasure waiting to be discovered. If you are looking for pastries with a subtle sweetness, this is your destination of choice. I love how the patissier incorporates seasonal ingredients into her creations, resulting in delicate and meticulously crafted treats.

My favorite bakery in Brooklyn! The only con is probably the opening hours :(

Excellent little hole in the wall bakery. I try to get something new every time I visit.

3 1/2 stars, purchased the basque cake, some sort or earl gray mousse cake with toasted almonds, and the blueberry scone.out of the three the basque cake tasted the best, I went right after they opened so it was still warm (but warning, if you come too early not everything will be out yet). scone was decent, not too sweet and fluffy on the inside. I was least impressed with the earl gray cake, although the tea flavor was decently strong which I did appreciate, it was way too much mousse and almost nothing else. Warning, it also melts and starts to fall apart fairly quickly in warm weather.I’d probably have given this four stars if not for the price, $18 for a pastry and two desserts that I finished in about two bites each. Even for Dumbo the price seems a bit high

True hidden gem in Brooklyn. They only open from 10am to 2pm on weekdays. When I had an unexpected day-off on Tue, I knew it was a sign to visit Burrow. Their store is located inside a commercial building, so it took me awhile to figure out where the entrance was.*QuicheForgot what were the fillings... it should be loaded with chicken, bell pepper and spinach. The savory egg custard was incredibly soft and jiggly. The quiche was packed full of bright veggie and herbal flavors. I was disappointed by most of the quiches served in other bakeries, but this one was exceptionally yum.*Gateau Basque CustardMy fav pastries out of the three. I thanked myself for picking this simple but divine pastry over other fancy-looking ones. Their tart crust slayed with its flakiness. The almond custard fillings were encased in the buttery dough. Silky, nutty and (most importantly) not too sweet.*Strawberry Pistachio CakeI witnessed the cakes sold out within an hour during my stay at Burrow. Coated with whipped cream and a thin layer of jelly-like strawberry jam. The strawberry mousse was bursted with fresh and naturally sweet flavor. You could clearly distinguish there wasn't much added sugar in this piece. The pistachio sponge cake was fluffy, yet the flavor was bland and overpowered by the strawberry mousse. My Recommendations:EverythingWorth Returning ? YES DEFINITELY

One of their first customers back in 2013. Their pastries were always delicious. As they have gotten more customers throughout the years, they aren’t as consistent anymore. We used to like eating our pastries and drinks there although its always very warm and tiny space. Everything was great till covid hits. Understand they were closed for a long period of time and only pre-orders. We even ordered pastries and birthday cakes during pandemic. When we went back few times after they reopen, they didn’t seem to welcome people in to sit inside to grab a quick bite. It didn’t feel like a cafe where you could enjoy your pastries like the old days even if there is only one available seating inside. it is more like grab and go kind of place. The service was not friendly like it used to be. They now have their own family run this place. The guy who works there which was one of the family members had the audacity to ask for tips just because we were eating inside while standing with no chairs by the counter height cole table. He did not serve us and on top all cafes in NYC are self service and you can enjoy the food inside. Despite all the downgraded pastries they serve now, I didn’t mind to support their business. Its just odd for someone to ask for tips while they didn’t even serve you Many desserts they used to serve are not there anymore. The pastries are much smaller than it used to be even the prices went up significantly. We understand about the inflation but it should have same standard as it used be be. We won’t be back anymore. It is not worth the trip. We prefer going to Tadaima which is a cute cozy friendly japanese cafe in BK. The owner is the sweetest and she makes yummy pastries and coffee. Go check it out!

It’s almost impossible to make it to @burr0w because they have the weirdest hours and only on weekdays! I’m so glad I finally got to visit on Good Friday though.Their pastries are delicious and remind me of both Taiwan and Japan! So authentic. The mocha biscuit and caramel butter cream of the coffee cake was amazing! Matcha cake was great as well!
