Buttermilk channel is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn! Their pancakes are fantastic (and so is the jam). We also ordered the short rib hash, warm lamb salad and a side of bacon. All of which were delicious. The breakfast cocktails weren’t my favorite but I would absolutely visit again for the food and vibe!

Noisy, overpriced, & disappointing food. We had 5 meals for 4 people, ordering the French toast for the table. 4 of the 5 dishes were disappointing.

Very cute and clean. High noise level. The menu is somewhat unique but the food was just fair. Bloody Marys were very weak, though flavorful. Biscuits were quite good, as were Eggs Huntington and scrambled eggs. Short Rib hash dry and disappointing. The pecan French toast was a small loaf of bread fried with powder sugar on top. Not really French toast and the syrup was basically maple syrup with pecans in it. Overall, service was ok but we expected more from this restaurant.

Stepping into Buttermilk Channel Restaurant felt like stumbling upon a breakfast paradise, and their Chicken & Waffles and Pancakes sealed the deal for an authentic morning feast. The Chicken & Waffles were a revelation, with the chicken boasting a perfect crunch and the waffles a comforting canvas for the flavors. As for the pancakes, they were a testament to homey goodness, fluffy and delicious. The care they put into sourcing quality ingredients was evident in every bite. The cozy vibe of the place, combined with the friendly staff, made it a genuine, comforting experience. Buttermilk Channel Restaurant is where breakfast dreams come true, a spot I'd gladly revisit for a taste of their hearty, real-deal dishes.

A great brunch spot. The fried pork chop was huge, as were most of the other dishes. The housemade pickles are definitely worth a try.

Excellent food, tried the buttermilk pancakes, squash soup, mushroom scrambled eggs, and the biscuit appetizers. All 10/10 and didn't take too long to come out even though the place was absolutely packed.

i have never eaten at tge Buttermilk Channel. I used to operate tugboats on the actual Buttermilk Channel. Strong currents and always fun, between Governor's Island and Brooklyn. Some of the strongest currents i have ever driven a boat through. I believe the restaurant will be just as good!
