Good food and service when they were open. This location has been closed since November and doesn't look to be reopening. If they are reopening, they should respond to the customers who have asked about it. They seem to be putting all their eggs into the Chelsea location. That's fine, but then move on from Dumbo and let someone else move in who can provide goods to the neighborhood.

Used to work here back in 2013. Love this place!

If you are visiting the DUMBO area in the afternoon, instead of going to a restaurant, I recommend getting food at Foragers. Walk in and straight to the back and order a chicken sandwich #2, and get some nice sides and drinks. Go and sit by the water front between the bridges and marvel at the majestic view.

LOVE this Grocery store. BUT, I had to dock one star because sadly the rotisserie chickens aren’t as good as they used to be. They use SO many herbs now. It’s like a herb crust or something. PLEASE bring back the old chicken recipe. For the love of god PLEASE!

Conflicted because the people are very friendly. My small 16 oz iced coffee was $4. Average, but when compared to Bean n Bean as well as Blank Street, it really was average product wise. I saw that their prices are higher than Whole Foods more like Erewhon in Los Angeles yet their premium pricing is not justified in my eyes for some products. Will come to browse and see.

Cool market with nice outdoor seating right under the bridge! Great food (mac and cheese and chicken) and a fresh juice made my Saturday so much better :)

Walked in saw a ceiling tile fall on a baby stroller and walked out didn’t even get to try the food. After reading some of the reviews about the high prices at this place. you would think the place would be better maintained.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but I had a sorta disappointing experience ordering lunch here, and I feel compelled to mention it so the staff can rectify it in the future / others know. My vegan friend got a mushroom sandwich which was listed on the menu as vegan, but there was definitely cheese on it? It seemed to be goat cheese, really not cool to do that when you list a product as vegan. I ordered a ham sandwich because it was supposed to come on sesame semolina bread and have toppings like "devil" sauce and scallions, sounded unique and delicious. The sandwich took quite a while to make and I could see they kept consulting a menu. They didn't tell me they were out of the semolina and in fact all bread except ciabatta until after I ordered, which disappointed me immediately but I was hungry so I didn't back out. Then when I received the sandwich, half the toppings were not there including no sauce and there were cucumbers and tomatoes instead. The ham was good but it was a totally different sandwich and not worth 13 dollars by a long shot. If they were out of ingredients, I would have appreciated they said this ahead of time so I could have purchased something else. This place just didn't feel particularly reliable so I likely won't return.

I never write reviews and the few that I do are usually for exceptional locations. This is the first bad review I've ever written. I've lived in this area for about 8 years and been in Forager's a few times previously. During the pandemic - I started to go more regularly mostly for the smoothies. There was a guy who was there previously who made the drinks really well but lately he's been MIA and drinks (coffee or smoothies) have been different every single time (like wildly different). The team at the back with prepared foods - while pleasant, always takes forever and for whatever reason - cannot tell the difference between the mushroom cheddar quiche and the bacon cheddar quiche (bc I keep getting the wrong one). The worst issue I have at this location however is the rude checkout lady with the blue hair. She's rang up my order twice and both times were unpleasant. The first time was when she asked me for my phone number (associated with their frequent customer program) and I didn't hear her clearly through her mask. She gestured impatiently with her hands at me and rudely and loudly said "NUMBER". The second instance was when I purchased a large smoothie and quiche (which again - they gave me the wrong one). She rang up the quiche and applied my rewards to it so that the balance was $0. The register said PROCESSED. I looked at her and said "I don't think you rang up my smoothie". So she rang up the smoothie AND quiche again and told me $17. I told her she rang the quiche up and applied the rewards already to which she said - no - you didn't even swipe so you were never charged and that I didn't have any rewards as indicated by the screen (BC she already applied it right before to the previous transaction). I tried to explain it to her but she insisted bc I never swiped my card - I wasn't charged but essentially I lost my rewards and paid "twice" for my wrong quiche.

The place is pricey. It's not an everyday grocery store (at least for me). However, they have a unique selection of treats that I haven't found anywhere else. It's fun to get one or two of these unique items as a special treat. The place is pretty close to the subway and the park under the Brooklyn Bridge. If you have some extra time on the way back from Brooklyn to the city, I recommend stopping by here, getting a little treat, and relishing it at the Brooklyn Bridge Park while overlooking the water. PS: I originally came there looking for Rabble Rouser chocolate. I had found one of their chocolates in Lake Placid and asked the manufacturer where to get it in NYC. They had said that the only place was Foragers Market Dumbo. However when I asked, the cashier hadn't heard of it and couldn't find it either.

Ok so 3 stars here. Most of the staff was friendly and attentive, the place itself is beautiful and clean and the food looked healthy and properly gourmet. Unfortunately look at this bagel! They have a “Bialy” for $3 and I guess I see why. The cream cheese to toppings ratio is bad especially for New York and especially for Brooklyn!!! To be fair, I think the guy behind the counter was new. I got a choc chip cookie as well and it was delicious. Another issue was prices not being labeled + everything being generally super overpriced. This is clearly for a certain crowd so be wary if you’re not trying to spend an arm + leg on “ok” food

quality /freshness of meat & poultry has gone way down over past 6 mo. it used to be consistently excellent. now more miss than hit.

I moved to Dumbo a month or so ago, and despite warnings, I was willing to give Foragers Market an unjudged chance, so I tried an Italian sandwich. It took the staff 10+ minutes to figure out how to put it together, the sandwich was relatively small, incredibly bland, and on top of it all, 14+ dollars. I'm not expecting Pisillo's in Financial District, or Diso's, or any of the other Italian sandwich kind of places quality from a Deli, and I understand real estate for commercial real estate is incredibly expensive here, but if I'm paying 14 bucks for a small sandwich, I'd expect to have some sort of redeeming quality other than not making me food sick. If you're looking for a sandwich option, I'd say go to Bread & Spread a block or so away.

I came in today to get a smoothie and the guy attending there was so sweet and helpful. Didn’t catch his name, but he was the only guy at the juice station. I loved the drink he recommended and shoutout to him for being patient with me especially because I was indecisive. ? when I went to go pay there was a guy there who seemed like he was the manager and spoke very rudely to the juice bar guy. Don’t know why but it was very rude and disrespectful!!!! Really upset me after he was so kind to me.

Very nice little market with a good selection of high quality meats and cheeses along with other healthy foods. There's a bit of everything there, a quick bite from the deli case, soups and salads, or fresh ingredients for supper. The workers there are super friendly and helpful. Visit! You'll like it. Just be mindful where you are shopping...let's just say it's a wealthy area.
