By far the best Jamaican restaurant there is, and the owner is very nice.

I ordered one pound of J*** Chicken. The man made sure I paid for it before he went to the back to get it. He said they don’t have a microwave. I heard a door slam and I heard a Beep. $15.00 plus a GOOD Tip $2.44 (That was the option I chose). I got in a box two pieces of turkey wings the flat piece and three ends. I couldn’t believe. I called him and he said to me “I gave you more than a pound.” I let him know that I wouldn’t be coming back. Sinful and Shameful. I will be making my own.

Overpriced!!!! Their is a Chemical Taste in the J**** I cannot describe the taste. It’s a sort of Gas Fume Odor that hits your Olfactory Sense when you take a Bite! It makes you not want to eat. I wanted to eat there, but there was no place to wash your hands. Will not be going back.

This is my 3rd time ordering j*** chicken from j*** pit and though the j*** chicken is flavorful, every single time the meat is pink! I don’t get it! I keep giving them a chance but I will no longer order j*** chicken from a place that seems to rush the cooking process and possibly get me sick.

Wow!!! Just wow! I should’ve took some pics, but after the first bite, it was over for the pics lol. I had the j*** chicken meal, brown stew snapper meal, and festival—everything was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend, it’s def worth the hype!

I honestly love that it was clean and inviting but the food was okay. It was okay for the first try. I don't know if I will come again.

I discovered this place over a week ago when I was exploring Nostrand Ave. I really liked their j*** chicken. I have ordered takeout twice from this place already. Their sweet plantains are yummy. And their cold pressed juices are good as well; the pineapple kick and the reggae beets flavors are good. They have a gingery kick.

J*** chicken was dry.. flavor was ok but too dry to enjoy
First of all there is no place to wash your hands. As anyone who has eaten oxtail knows you are going to need to wash your hands. There wasn’t a drop of hand sanitizer to be found. I was Given a cup of water to rinse my hands. (The audacity) I won’t even mention the poor service (given). But, for me, the thing that really brought the Karen out was the oxtail plate that was 90% rice and peas 5% cabbage and 4% oxtail 1% forgotten plantains. Oh and it was $25.

This has to be the worst curry goat i’ve ever tasted. Also dark skin lady who works the register gives bad vibes.

Authentic local J*** chicken and other meats restaurant on Nostrand. The lunch special is a very generous portion of rice, enough to sustain anyone. Good for a quick lunch trip if you're in the area craving J*** chicken.
The food ah gwan wit tings, full ah flavor and authenticity. If I'm feeling for Jamaican I'm headed there first. The J*** well seasoned. And that brisket is the best you will ever have in your LIFE.
