Returning to the urban roots of my upbringing in the gritty, pre-gentrified streets of Alphabet City and the Bowery, I crossed the Brooklyn Bridge after a considerable absence, now residing on the West Coast. The occasion was a friend's party at Superfine, and from the moment I stepped inside, I was transported back to the vibrant world I once called home.Superfine's open loft space exuded an authentic charm, with its exposed brick walls and effortlessly cool ambiance. The blend of intellectual energy without a hint of pretension immediately captivated me. As I mingled with the crowd, I found myself drawn to the multiple buffets, each boasting gourmet specialties that could rival those found in Milan or local farm market tasting.From the meticulously curated charcuterie board to the irresistible mini burgers that disappeared as quickly as they were served, every offering was a delight for the senses. The hummus was so divine that I found myself tempted to drizzle it over everything in sight, while the thinly sliced cauliflower, marinated to perfection, was a revelation next to the refreshing kale salad that I couldn't get enough of.And just when I thought my culinary journey couldn't get any better, the staff began passing around tidbits of their famous spinach lasagna, which was simply divine. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service remained impeccable, with the staff demonstrating remarkable attentiveness and grace, even as we inadvertently crowded the bar.I must make a special mention of our exceptional server on February 24, 2024, whose effortless agility as he navigated through the throng of guests while balancing trays of martinis was truly remarkable. Additionally, I had the pleasure of engaging in delightful conversation with Tanya, a fabulous manager whose passion for organic, farm-to-table cuisine was evident in both her personality and culinary philosophy. Originally from Washington, her perspective held the refreshing organic West Coast ethos, enriching my dining experience even further.In essence, Superfine is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of the vibrant spirit and diverse flavors that define urban living. From its inviting atmosphere to its delectable offerings and impeccable service, it's a testament to the timeless allure of city life done right.

We had an amazing brunch experience here, with fantastic bluegrass music that was just loud enough to hear but not too loud that we couldn’t chat as well - well done!!And the staff were excellent, friendly and made our visit even better ????
I like coming to this spot, the set up of the bar makes it so you can definitely come solo to work or drink. Its also a very interesting half restaurant, half bar situation. You can easily have dinner and play pool in the same night.
I was in NY for a work meeting 1/25 with my team that is almost exclusively resettled refugees and immigrants who devote their time to helping other newcomers feel welcomed and safe in the US. What a mistake coming here with them! The bartender, upon giving us our credit card slips, made a “joke” about my colleague’s name. My other colleague heard it and calmly said “that’s not cool, man” and the bartender immediately got defensive and angry with us. He then proceeded to angrily talk down to our colleague he initially made fun of, assuming he didn’t know how to sign a credit card slip. When my colleague repeatedly told him he already signed one and the copy he had was the customer copy, the bartender wouldn’t believe him and continued to demand his signature on the customer copy. Sure enough, the signed slip had fallen behind the bar and the bartender found it. He didn’t apologize, continued to yell at us, saying we were being difficult and threatening to call the manager on us. Later in the evening, he did come over to give us shots and apologize for escalating the situation, but was only talking to the white Americans in the group. When I asked him to apologize to the person he had targeted, he refused and just pointed at the shots, saying the shots was all the apology he was going to give. I’d advise avoiding this place for your own safety and mental wellbeing.
