Great food, great atmosphere with huge riverfront picture windows in some places. The waitresses are often very young, and new with high turn around and you may need to speak clearly and patiently but all else is amazing and I visit here often.

Out here from ri on a weekend vacation with my boyfriend, The resort we were staying at had us waiting over 40 mins for breakfast so we decided to go out for breakfast instead , ending up here . It was closer to lunch so I got lunch but my boyfriend got breakfast still . 3 things I had an issue with, I asked for marinara for my onions rings (very normal in ri to dip anything in marinara even fries) and asked for the tomatoes on my sandwhich to be replaced with onion instead . She said ok walked off came back and served us pur food and then walked off again . Automatically I call her back because my marinara is missing and she says "oh we only give marinara if you get the mozzarella sticks" I said well you should have told me that I would've ordered the mozzarella sticks just so I can have the sauce for my onions rings but now the food is here and I don't want to wait for mozzarella sticks just for sauce while my food gets cold so I ate it as is.. then I notice they removed the tomatoes like I asked but never replaced it with the onions , I was even missing the pickle that it said comes on the side of the sandwhich which I also wanted and Homefries with my boyfriends breakfast had not a ounce of seasoning on em , just bland.. I'm just glad to know that I won't come across this place again .

I haven't ate a patty melt in about 10 years and it was one of the greatest Patty melts I have tried in a long time they cooked it to order. The waitress was very friendly. The food was fast and will definitely come back.

I am in Callicoon for the first time. Out of my 7 days stay, Callicoon Cafe is the best taste of the small town.Omelette tasty, great coffee. I mean great. Awesome service. Great atmosphere. I am half way on my plate and coffee. I don’t even know care abou the cost. I decided to write this review. I am all the way from Ottawa, Canada. You should stop here as I did. ??Parking: Lots of street and parking lot spot.

Great Food - Great and friendly staff! 5 Stars all day long! I eat here several times a week since they opened. I often call in my order if I'm busy and it will be ready when I get there plus they offer fast take out service too! The soups are made fresh daily and are very good. The chili is a classic too! I often opt for one of the salads topped with grilled chicken and shrimp. Plenty of parking, sweeping views of the river (bald eagle sitings daily!), fast internet and cell service. Great cafe -- great service -- great staff!

Simple breakfast and lunch spot. Food, service, and atmosphere were all satisfactory. Good vegetarian options for breakfast but lunch was pretty limited. Water tasted a bit off and there were flies buzzing around.

We were in the area from 10-10 through 10-12/23 and were seeking 'the best breakfast in NY state.' The Callicoon Cafe was recommended to us by the staff at the Villa Roma. They were on point. We were in the area for three days and ate at the cafe twice. It was that good. The omelets are amazing...LOADED with bacon. The home fries were my wife's favorite. Oh, and the pancakes...mmm. The prices are unbelievable. SO reasonable. The giant views of the river and the clean, comfortable decor were icing on the cake. We were so impressed with Shane (The 'Most Handsome Man in Callicoon.' Ha ha.) and the food, that we even asked to speak to the owner in order to compliment her directly. You're all so kind. Your fans from NH thank you!!

Excellent and friendly service! Best "Chicken fried steak" my son-in-law had ever had! The pancakes, hashbrowns, sausages, and Chili were all excellent. And the views were great too! I would love to come here again!

The food is good. Ours arrived as ordered. Crisp bacon with an omelette. The server was polite and offered extra coffee twice. There's a nice view of the river. The restaurant is clean
