Get the fish and chips. Just get them.
The caramel sundae is super good too… house made caramel!

This place is wildly anomalous for its location, but it is quirky and wonderful and makes seriously good food at very fair prices. Honestly it may be the best seafood you can get in the region, and I’m not sure how they source that being two and a half hours from NYC. But both the raw ingredients and the chef’s skills are great, and the portions are also substantial. Even the wine list is remarkably thoughtful and someone here knows their stuff.

The juxtaposition of a fun diner atmosphere with really excellent and high-effort food that manages to achieve a truly “home style” effect — and emphasizing seafood, no less, there’s nothing harder, and I speak as a onetime chef — is unique. And the prices are way more than reasonable for the quality, I’d even call them low.

The people who run it are so nice, and the vibe is original and fun. Totally a great place for kids too. I really hope they thrive. This is a labor of love and it shows.

A jewel of a place, unpretentious, low-key, and friendly. The food is great. They also have an amazing assortment of tinned seafood available.

As a Rhode Islander I couldn't wait to try the " RI calamari ". It was, by far, the most tender, tasty calamari I've ever had! I'm not a big fried food eater but this is one of those dishes I do love. Thank you ,Amy ,for the delightful treat!!!(by the way..everything else was delicious too! 😋)

Fantastic place to eat. The salads were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Both the chicken and fish fried were delightful. The staff is what really also made this experience so memorable.

A hidden gem for seafood lovers. Don't let the unprententious exterior put you off, the food is great and staff are downhome friendly. Dine outdoors if the weather cooperates. Just be careful navigating the parking lot.

such a pleasure to eat at Zinnia’s. immaculate modern diner vibes with the most awe-inspiring library of both tinned & gorgeously fried fishes, as well as delightful and surprising desserts (the halva & tahini sundae… omg). hosts were cordial, warm, and accommodating. 6/5 stars

Really great food, next level for diners. The curry steam fish was so scrumptious and I loved the spice level. The kids menu is also great portion and balanced with fruit and veggies but of course with fries. The fish and chips breading was really nice and crispy. Also they were so lovely and accommodating for families and have a baby changing pad. Love this place I would highly recommend.

Zinnia's was awesome! So unique and unexpected. The food, the expansive tinned fish selection, the decor... All tasteful and rewarding. The mushrooms were the highlight for me.

Topflight kitchen, run by the ingenious Amy Lawton -- food coming from love. Adorable space, whimsically nostalgic. Best selection of tinned fish in the Hudson Valley -- opens new doors for what you can do at home.
