Great food and great service. One of the best Malaysian cuisines I've had. It's authentic and delicious. I love the roti canal and Hainanese chicken with the chicken broth rice. Every dish was delicious especially the fried rice. The workers are also very friendly and attentive.

A good friend took me and my Daughter there for my Birthday dinner and it was a good experience. The food was consistent and had great flavor across the apps and entrees. Everything was fresh and the service great too. Always getting the check in with the waiter or easily motioned over to get something. All in all a great birthday dinner!

Their food was good but it's gone downhill. It's not as good as back in the days. The hainanese chicken white meat is not edible. The chicken in roti chicken is also not edible. There are other dishes that shouldn't be on the menu...Management don't care about the customers either. You better not ask for anything bc it won't happen. Rude. I'm not talking about the servers...The servers are nice. There's an upcharge if you use a credit card... a lot of people don't know about it.

I bought a take out and the first thing I noticed was the smaller container on soup. When I usually order noodle soup, it's either in a big quart size or at least 3/4 filled on the quart size and not in a pint size soup. I'm thinking it's fine since my bowl is smaller. When I actually open my noodle container I couldn't help but laugh. The amount of protein is barely there. Two pieces of small shrimps with the digestive tract still intact, two super thing slice of fish cake and inside the soup had two sliver size pork/beef and also half an overcooked boiled egg. I did take out since I didn't feel like cooking but I ended up adding my more eggs and shrimp on my end so I still had to cook. The amount of food you get is pretty bad. I will probably not come back here for this. I'm adding 1 star cause the staff was very friendly and another star I only got to try this one dish. I can't say much on the rest but be aware. #42 Pinang udang mee soup

This has been a staple of the Elmhurst food scene forever, and it's one of my favorite places for quick and tasty takeout. Service is always friendly but super efficient. They have a very extensive menu, but I especially love their char kway teow, always flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Their beef rendang, mee siam, and lu rou fan are also great options.

Was very disappointed with my visit. Came in around 745 and was told that neither the Hainanese rice nor the Nasi Lemak rice was available. We ended up ordering the Nasi Lemak but it was very tasteless.
Palau Pinang is one of my go to restaurants in Queens. The pricing is great and the food is consistently good. The staff is very friendly and the menu has a lot of variety. I have been here over 50 times and I'll keep coming back!

They renovated their dining room recently. Food is more delicious than before. I guess they have new owner.Kid-friendliness: They have high chair seats and they are friendly to our kidsParking: They have parking lot but somehow it is always crowded. I’d recommend to park your car on the street on surrounding neighborhood.

Friendly staff and food was prepared in a timely manner. The Hainanese chicken was perfectly cooked- the meat was moist and smooth. The sauces complimented the dish perfectly.Malaysian pork chop - tender pork chops drenched in a sweet and sour sauce. If you like sweet and sour pork (the Cantonese dish), you will enjoy this as well. I got the lunch special and it came with soup. Large portion (great deal!)Roti Telur- It was ok, perhaps a bit too doughy. The curry sauce was solid though.

So rare to find a Malaysian place with vegan options! The menu is a mix of Chinese, Taiwanese, and Malaysian and to be fair most of the vegan friendly dishes were Chinese (ALWAYS ask if the tofu has egg!) - but still, this is the only restaurant in the neighborhood where I've been able to have any Malaysian food at all. Excellent friendly, accommodating service and a nice interior atmosphere to boot.Top choices: vegetable curry, mango tofu, si gua/sponge gourd - again, if vegan, make sure to get regular tofu instead of egg tofu
