I've been here several times and it hits the spot every time!I recently had their wings, which are smoked and smothered in sauce. The flavor was great and had a light crisp.Their sandwiches are also amazing - packed with meat and coated with their fantastic sauce.A true gem of a BBQ!
All I can really say is they’re food is absolutely amazing and mouth watering best BBQ you’ll find in the area for sure.
We ordered the sampler platter for $65. Fair deal IMO.-the best bbq I’ve had in the nyc area.-the meat was super soft and fell off the fork/bone-best brisket I’ve had-awesome pulled pork, full of flavor.-the only gripe is the ribs. Cooked well just not my cup of tea in terms of flavor.-super friendly staff.- seems like a great place to watch football/sports with advertised deals on game days-homemade bbq sauce-canteen style self serve.
After Texas I have been looking for some good bbq. I would say they’re worth it. Love their BBQ. I asked for moist briskets and they were perfect. I hope they have Jalapeño sausages when I go back.I also got the pulled pork, Half Ribs, chicken and it was worth it. Their spicy sauce is bangin as well. Will definitely go back.
Sempre Fame serves up some great BBQ food in my neighborhood which unfortunately has a dearth of solid BBQ spots. The pork sliders were great as was the tasty mac n cheese. This place is also reasonably priced which is a plus. I will return to try their brisket.
We ordered takeout which was ready when we got there. We order pulled pork, brisket, mozzarella and onions on Texas toast, and 1/2 rack of ribs. The sides were fries, buttered corn, macaroni salad and Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was good with a nice amount of sauce. The ribs were not fall off the bone but tender. Some were a little dry. The star for me was the brisket. I've had brisket in places like Memphis and Dallas and I always found it dry. This was the first time it was not dry. It was tender without being fatty. It didn't need the sauce but it was better with it. French fries, corn and macaroni salad were fine. The Mac and cheese didn't have enough cheese and was on the watery side. This was my second time here. I found the ribs better the first time I visited. It's a nice place for good BBQ.
Great, delicious, fantastic, awesome, fabulous, decadent, amazing, insanely good food!
I've been going to Sempre Fame on and off for quite a while. I love pastrami and it's always been on the menu but I guess I never hit the right days. Then when Covid hit and business slowed down I don't believe they were even making it. So the other night, I got my first Sempre Fame pastrami sandwich! It was delicious. I had it on Texas toast with sides of sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese. The fries were very good as well. I usually get regular fries but I think I'll stick with sweet potato from now on. I wasn't impressed with the man and cheese but my granddaughter was happy. In the long run, that's all that matters. As I've said, we've been there many times before, and everything has always been good. I like the brisket and my husband loves their burgers. Give it a try. It's mostly take out, but there are a few tables. We've done both. And there's plenty of street parking.
The BBQ is excellent, the staff is friendly as all get out, and the movie themed decor is hilarious. Lots of schlocky 80's action film memorabilia that takes me back. Had to take a star off for the prices though which can be quite high.
I love this neighborhood bbq joint. I've tried all different items and everything is delicious. The portions are huge, we always have leftovers. They also donate a lot to local charities.
We went here to order take-out last night. We got 2 brisket platters, one with fries and macaroni salad, and one with mac & cheese and potato salad. Also got 1/2 rack of ribs with mac & cheese and sweet potato fries. The meats were excellent, portions were really big and the meat was all extremely tender. I loved the ribs -- fall off the bone. Brisket was delicious although I would have preferred a little less sauce. The potato salad was really good, and we all liked the mac & cheese. Fries all had good flavor, although a little mushy but that's because we ordered it to go and by the time we got home...you get the idea. Anyway, so glad to have found this place in our neighborhood! They have a huge menu, lots of choices, and the portions are a really good size. Definitely worth the money. We will be back again.
Well seasoned and tender meats and generous portions make me a happy camper. Sempre Fame did that.
Was having some friends over for whiskey, and since I'm not a real adult and don't know how to grill, I opted to outsource the work to the experts at Siempre Fame -- and, brother, that was 100% the right decision. These guys will take care of you like you're family. The food was way more than we thought it would be, and it was a hit! Paired perfectly with whiskey, the ribs and wings were a hit with the guys. I'll definitely be back!
