Absolutely fantastic. Way cool atmosphere, great food. Josh was the best. He was great with my Mom on her 85th birthday and excellent with my 12yr old grand daughter. It's definitely on the pricey side, but a great dining experience

Had such a bizarre experience here and wouldn’t return. The service was great and setting was super cool. There was a private party and other than that, we were the only other patrons in the restaurant. They seated us directly next to the party when every other area of the restaurant was empty and was so loud. The food was just okay. Overall, not worth what we spent.

Also, to be in a castle and have higher-than-normal prices, we were expecting it to be a bit more formal. But the staff was in athleisure and the place just felt old and meh. Idk, it was weird.

Had a great anniversary dinner, prime rib was so delicious with a rosemary crust! Being the Belhurst Castle is an enchanting setting. We booked the night in the castle so had access to explore all 3 floors as well as grounds. Highly recommend for a special experience. Fyi- castle bed rooms do not have central air, so may be a little warm, but hey that's castle charm!

I only gave 5 stars because I couldn't give 6!

Josh was our server and he was fantastic. Very personable and gave great recommendations about the area. After the meal, since the restaurant wasn't very crowded, he even gave us a little bit of information about the castle itself. The food was fantastic and portions were generous. I felt like I needed to roll out of there. We'll be recommending the castle to everyone we know!

the only reason this is 2 stars is because the bread was pretty good
to start, we came early (5:30 for a 6 o’clock reservation) and weren’t expecting a table yet but checked in anyways and we’re told the table wasn’t ready til 6. this was no problem, we sat in the waiting area on the couches.
the hostess, destiny…she just doesn’t know what she’s doing and left the hostess stand several times to “ask the servers” the questions that patrons were asking her as they were checking in.
6 o’clock rolls around and instead of taking the people (us) to a table, who had already checked in and were waiting, she took 2 other couples before us. and we had to get back in line to even be seated.
we were seated and our waiter josh was super nice and we thought that he was going to make up for our experience with the hostess. drinks and appetizer were ordered and came out promptly and were good.
we ordered our food and it came out in a reasonable amount of time, brought out by a server. after receiving our food, we were not checked on again or asked how our food was until at least 30 min, if not more. my fiancé’s water had been empty for 15 min at that point and both of our cocktails had been empty since before we received our food. my dish was lukewarm at best and the added on chicken was extremely dry.
i do not recommend this restaurant. the food was overpriced and the service was terrible.

Insanely bad service:

We had a party of 8 people with a reservation for 6:30. We were seated promptly at 6:30 but we couldn’t make drink orders until 7:15. They apologized and said one of their employees didn’t show up to work. We then waited until 7:45 to order our food. Our food came at 8:30, 30 mins after the place was closed! While cooking our food the kitchen staff had a meltdown freak out that was so loud you could hear it all throughout the resteraunt. The manager was screaming and cussing so loudly at a young member of the kitchen staff it was appalling. They brought out our food and it wasn’t very good. It wasn’t disgusting or unserviceable but it wasn’t worth 50 bucks a plate

Very disappointed!!! Service was absolutely awful!!! Our reservation was for 5:45 and at 7:00 still never received our salads! Canceled our dinners..paid for cocktails and left. Won’t be going back

I was served the fattiest and toughest Prime Rib I ever had in my life and was charged $46. When I refused to pay the bill as issued, the manager gave $10 off the bill. Still unconscionable. In addition, the Caesar salad was terrible. I very rarely complain, but the food was terrible and overpriced. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this highly overrated restaurant.

7:30 Saturday night dinner reservation for our Anniversary.. it was AWFUL!! We were seated on the porch.. it smelled like spoiled something. Absolutely gross. We moved tables to overcome the smell. The windows looked like they had not been cleaned in 5 years. There were abandoned drinks on the ledge of the table as well. Seafood chowder was lukewarm, lacked flavor and came out in the cup- no plate or crackers.. for the price, you’d think they’d get the presentation aspect! Calamari came out cold. We asked for the sauce that went with it.. the “garlic aioli” was honestly mayonnaise- gross!! My Caesar salad came out next.. or should I say a heaping pile of cheese (no joke!!) with a few pieces of lettuce and bone dry of dressing. How do you screw up a Caesar salad?!! My hubs got the Delmonico- cooked medium rare.. it came out well and his mashed potatoes had this awful crust over them like they had been sitting for hours. My salmon was equally as bad.. Burt to a crisp on the outside (see picture) and RAW on the inside (I should have taken a picture!) I wanted to cry. They remade our food.. which we did not get until 9pm, steak was still overdone, potatoes were better, salmon was cooked ok. We got dessert on the house.. donut cheesecake- it was horrible and a lemon cream cake, not bad. The next morning we went for continental breakfast and our table from the night before was just as we left it complete with dirty dishes. disgusting! The server was nice enough, the manager felt bad. I should have read the other reviews before going there because the negatives are 100% accurate. The following morning we had continental breakfast.. we got there at 9:40, they closed at 10. There was 1 muffin, 1 bagel, 3 cranberry juices floating in a tub of water and a bunch of packaged donuts. The circuit popped when attempting to toast the bagel.

We arrived early for our reservation assuming we could sit at the bar and have a drink. When we checked in we were told the bar would be open in a few minutes. We waited and it hadn’t opened we checked again and were told it was open and to walk in. We then were turned away by the bartender as he was still stocking the bar (it was 5:30, the restaurant opened at 5).
Secondly we asked about what was in one of the desserts and were told “I’m not sure, let me go check the box”
The food however was very good, just a lot lacking on the service and experience.

The prixe fixe is a great way to go. Amazing historic castle in Geneva NY. Full 4 courses for $100 for 2.
