A friend of mine worked there before the pandemic and I know all about everything that goes on behind the scenes. There is no way bacon could EVER be old they sell so much of it that it's hard to have the bacon cooked for the orders. All of the help that is working there are very friendly and they do their bet to accommodate all of the customers. The bagels are new every morning so I am confused by the negative comments about them. Even in bad weather they are still new! It's not a big store so sometimes it can get a little crowded. This all depends on who's staying and who's going. How many people are ordering and it just always seems like everyone shows up at once so I do know the help does the best they could with the space their is. All in all I would recommend Greenwood Lake Bagels to anyone who asks!

I went the other day to get a BEC on a bagel and a HEC on a roll but my order was wrong and both of them were on rolls. I brought the sandwich labeled BEC so they can fix it but I was met with nothing but attitude. Apparently they were labeled wrong and I brought back the wrong sandwich for them to fix and they did nothing but blame me for it. They were so rude! I’ve only been here twice and won’t come back again!

They shouldn't sign up with an organization and have a scheduled pickup between 3-3:30pm and when you get there the place is closed and door is locked. It's not right when you come out of the area, looking forward to picking up the order.

I will caveat my review with I usually get bagels in Manhattan and have David's and Essa within walking distance of my apartment. I was super excite to see that GWL finally had a bagel shop! My partner said she was pleased with her bagel with lox, cream cheese and onion. She also noticed that the onions were a day old...same with the tomato. Please note that I didn't order tomato! My everything bagel with cream cheese was weak. The bagel seemed stale. It had a crumbly texture. And the cream cheese was lacking. I wanted to love it. I wouldn't recommend it.

They will switch the price on you for the same exact order at random. One day my sandwich was 3.95, the next it was 7.95, with no explanation. They are overpriced for the quality and quantity of food you receive, and they are inconsistent with how they charge people for the same meals.I will never order anything from here again on principle alone, they are anti-consumer.It's a shame, I live within walking distance to them and now will never spend another penny with them.Edit: I'd like to add, whoever made my last sandwich does not know what a jalapeno is. I ordered jalapenos, and got poorly sliced green peppers. This place is a joke.

I was on the hunt for a special cake for a small gathering just a few days away when a friend tipped me off about GWL Bakery. Heather came through! She is easy to work with, knowledgeable about her options, creative, and committed. The cake came out both beautiful and delicious. It was a big hit and still good in the fridge for the days that followed the event. I would absolutely recommend GWL Bakery and Heather for anything you need. The prices are also reasonable. Thank you!

I want to love it here because everyone is so nice but my order is always wrong. My usual is an everything bagel with egg, cheese, a hash brown, with salt, pepper, and ketchup. The other times I was here and ordered this, they either forgot the cheese or ketchup, ok no big deal I guess. Today, they remembered the cheese and S,P,K but forgot the hash brown.

Had a toasted everything bagel with eggs and cheese - hot and the right amount of crunch. Very helpful staff - must visit at Greenwood Lake

I came to this store for breakfast during my stay at Greenwood Lake. I was able to try a few different things such as the breakfast sandwiches (bagels), breakfast bowl, pastry (coffee cake) and specialty sandwich (spicy amigo). Although they were filling, I would not recommend some of these items. The breakfast bowl had home fries which was way too salty - to the point where it was inedible. The coffee cake was super dry and seemed like it was put out for days. The specialty sandwich was cold despite having "hot chicken cutlets". And the most disappointing was that the bagels were not very fresh (also not made at the store). If you want a quick breakfast, this can be an option (especially because there are not many other options in the area). However, I wouldn't have high expectations.

Staff is extremely rude, (tried it twice thought maybe EVERYONE in there was having a bad day) sometimes I don’t care if the food is good, and the bagels are mediocre and everything in there is overpriced. The grill is a much better spot and food is a lot better!

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is always delicious. They have a wonderful baked goods section which typically includes gluten free treats. Greenwood Lake Bagels is very supportive and involved in all the community events and are a true asset to GWL.
