Excellent, consistent, high-quality, reasonably priced food! Arguably the best eggplant parmigiana, penne ala vodka, and cannolis around!

A nice place for dinner. I went there with 3 friends on a Saturday nite at 7 pm. Was seated right away. All was great until the waiter spilled some sauce on one of us. Hey, accidents happened, and they compted the appetisers and moved us to a new table. Otherwise, the service was great. The calamari appetiser was light and crispy. Two people got shrimp scampi and said it was the best they ever had as was my veal Parmigiano dinner. It had a very tasty red sauce. The portions are big, and 3 people took leftovers home. I highly recommend

Had a horrible experience at Sal D’s. We made a reservation for my nephew’s birthday celebration for 6 people. My nephew was looking forward to eating there again. One of our group got sick and we called the restaurant as a courtesy to let them know we would be 5 people and was told they only make reservations for 6 people or more. I know we responded but we were 6 people until a few minutes ago and we had this reservation for a week. We were told to just show up. We arrived 15 minutes early at 5:45 pm only to be told they gave away our reservation and it would be a minimum of an hour’s wait. The host seemed to be happy about it restating their reservation policy. Even more insulting they gave it away for a party of 4 people. I pointed out that we were regulars eating there at least once per week but don’t expect to see us there anytime in the future. We left. Not a good way to treat any of your customers never mind one of your “former” regulars.

What a great little place tucked away in Halesite! Our server was Maureen and she was on point! Great demeanor and checked in with us at just the right time ?We ordered the mozzarella sticks and fried zucchini both were very good. Def try the blue cheese dressing with the fried zucchini, delicious! Our dinners ranged from chicken marsala to chicken piccata to rigatoni ala vodka and all of it was fantastic! Nice portions and you didn’t walk away feeling like you ate too much ?Will definitely return!

Great meal, strong drinks. We asked for separate checks and they said NO. This is offensive and they should honor this request.
Neighborhood favorite with generous portions. Can be crowded on weekends and dinner, but go a bit earlier or later to avoid the wait.Try the eggplant tower, the baked clams or the chicken scarpariello.Kid-friendliness: Welcomes well behaved kids with crayons and paperParking: Plenty of parking
We dine out frequently in the area and have found this restaurant has become a go to spot for us. It is a casual and friendly spot. It can be a bit tight quarters and depending on the time and if there are families that let little children run around it can be a bit loud. But it is a family spot so that is to be expected. The food is always good, fairly priced and the staff is great. They also make a great Manhattan. My wife and I have eaten here dozens of times and I have brought other family and business associates and have never regretted it.

My husband and I ate dinner there this past Wednesday night. We knew the food would be very good because they put real Italian bread (Brooklyn style) on the table. The espresso martinis were perfect. The fried zucchini was very crispy. We both had the Chicken Scarapariello off the bone. We're still raving about it. The balsamic glaze with delicious. Portions large. The cannoli was large enough to share. Kayla our waitress was attentive without being overbearing, all smiles. We are definitely returning.
