Great food especially the laffa's but beware they include a mandatory 18% tip in the bill and then give you a additional receipt asking if you want to give a tip for 18%, 32% ect.. not mentioning that they already included 18% on the bill!

Really really great food, also have some dishes that you can't get anywhere else. Food is consistently excellent - on the expensive side. One of my favorite places to eat.

I decided to have dinner with my mother, which soon as we sat down, my mother said let’s leave, and I said no, let’s give him a try. I’ll start by the salad we ordered the combination plate. The hummus was terrible and watery which leaked everywhere on the plate, the tabouli was just dry white looking quinoa. Tabouli is green, the falafel was dense and heavy and with no flavor the main course we ordered chicken kebabs. The chicken was seasoned but I felt it was undercooked. I was scared to eat it the salad the salad was horrendous. I never seen any Israeli salad that was ruined. The vegetables were in the freezer with no flavor and soggy , the rice was OK and the pita bread was good that’s it. I will never be back it’s horrible and they tag 18% onto your check which I’m not even gonna talk about the service I’m gonna leave that alone.

Friendly staff, large portions, and a calm atmosphere. There is a wide mix of cuisines here, and you can't go wrong with any of your selections. Parking is easy as well.

A nice reasonably priced kosher restaurant serving bukarian inspired cuisine. The waiter was attentive and the food was tasty and well presented. The portion size was adequate. I recommend this place and we'll go back.

I walked in for a take out order after visiting a local urgent care and they had EXCELLENT service and the atmosphere of the restaurant itself was lovely. It felt cozy and comforting. The food however was falling apart by the time we got home. The samsas were tasteless and the manti was soggy. My husband's shwarma laffa was soggy while being dry and tasteless and my schnitzel pita was dry and tasteless as well. The kids enjoyed their chicken nugget kids meals and spring nectar but the meal was an overall disappointment. I hope that this was just an off night for them.

The food here was so good and they had such a nice variety. It was a different style than other place like it that I've tried. I went with 4 other people, and we were happy to share a number of the appetizers. I particularly liked this dough ball that had meat in it, and another dumpling kind of thing that had meat in it. 2 other people at our table particularly loved the plov. We all came in hungry and left super full! There was one particular server working there who was so sweet, I wish I had gotten his name so I could praise him.

My friend and I decided to stop at Laffa on our way home. As we browsed the menu, an elder heavy set man (possibly the owner) stood in front of the counter to take our order. He quickly became annoyed and impatient in taking our order and that we had questions about what is included with the shawarma sandwich. Nonetheless, we confirmed that we would be dining-in and placed our order. We were then directed to sit down and wait. A few moments later, the same man came to our table, and said something along the lines of "if you'd like to dine-in, there is a mandatory fee of 18% of the order".. I was on the phone while he was speaking and my friend does not speak fluent English so I requested the man to give me a second so I could speak with him, he ignored me and once again said "dine in you have to pay 18%", and took the empty plates/knives away from our tables and walked back to the counter. I excused myself from my phone call and approached him, asking him what he meant by 18%, he replied "it is a mandatory gratuity", to which I replied and asked him if he knew the meaning of gratuity, he replied with "tip". I advised him that a tip is given voluntarily; beyond obligation. He then said "that may be the case at the place you're from, but not here". I advised him that in the state of New York, and it's labor laws, that is incorrect. He still refused to let us dine-in without paying an 18% fee, which was not mentioned while placing our order and advising him that we were planning to stay and eat. Getting frustrated, we walked out the door and waited in the cold for our food. The issue I have is not with the tip, had we eaten our meal inside, we would have had absolutely no issue in giving a tip to the business, as we have several times before in other establishments. The issue I have is with the owner, who appeared to be obnoxious in his replies and remarks, and continued to provide false laws that do not exist. It's unfortunate because the food was decent, however the service was one of the worst we've experienced. I'm a business owner myself and I find it disappointing that this owner acted in the way he did. Will not be dining from here again and will look into identifying labor law violation at this location.
