I ordered the plant based empanada dinner for take out and it was delicious! The meal comes with rice/beans and yummy sweet plantains. My daughter ordered a variety of empanadas and she was very happy too. We will definitely be returning!

I was visiting my buddy on Long Island we need a pick up easy peasy dinner we looked and found this Empanada spot they have an easy order on line pick up in the store 15 empanadas we picked rice cheese chicken and my favorite was the apple it was like an apple pie from the oven delish fried dough with fillings and thats an empanada I would eat these again they were not greasy they were tasty.

Not many choices when I was there. Empanadas were small and not stuffed like I was hoping for. They were tasty and I will most likely go back. Hopefully they will be fully stocked with all the different flavors

An amazing assortment of empanadas! I placed an order to consume at home and we had an absolute feast! Pricing is reasonable, location convenient (for me), and food tastes great. I recommend the lunch platters, but if you really want to have an experience, go wild- order a massive amount of empanadas with the fam and try all the flavors but cutting them in 1/2s or 1/4s.

Nice customer service. But unfortunately the food was not great. I got a peril and beef empanada with rice and tostones. The peril was very dry, the beef barely had any beef and the tostones were covered in salt. I was rooting for them cause they were in a great location but unfortunately I can not go back.

Tried them for the first time after a friend's recommendation and this place is excellent. Had the lunch special which came with choice of any two empanadas plus 2 sides of rice and beans + fried plantains and a fountain drink...all for $10. Ordered three extra empanadas and every single one was so distinctly and perfectly spiced. Mango shrimp, chipotle beef, and Latin shrimp were A++++. Service was super friendly and quick (and attractive - am I allowed to comment about that :-P). If any empanada flavor is missing from the display, they will gladly make one fresh for you on demand, takes only a few extra minutes. Will I be back? You can count on it!

I try to visit a restaurant several times before writing a review. I can't always do that, but I was able to since Island Empanada is nearby. The first time, we tried a few of their offerings. Kept it simple - beef, chicken, pork. The empanadas were FANTASTIC. Well seasoned and well prepared. Friendly service as well. The second and third time, we ordered the 10 for $30 deals to sample a few more. The Cuban, chicken bbq, and and chicken-bacon-ranch were especially good. Very tasty and freshly prepared. The sauces went well with the food. The side order of rice and beans was excellent. Service was friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend Island Empanada for lunch, dinner, or a snack. Thank you!!!

Great spot on Long Island for empanadas that are pretty darn good. No corn option which is the only miss. Nice staff, clean space. Get the chipotle options if you like spicy.

First and Last time, I know food and this ain't it. To start my order was wrong which is unbelievable because everything should be in its own place. Food was cold as soon as I got home 20 min?!? Trust me this and any of the other locations are a waste. Theres a 1000% better option in Lindenhurst

One of the BEST chicken soups I have ever had in my life!!! And a great gluten-free option. Definitely lots of garlic in the broth which would also make it a great immune-booster.I am already plotting returning for more (I live in Brooklyn).

The Island Empanada restaurant in Huntington Station is amazing. The lunch special that they offer for 2 empanadas with rice & beans, sweet plantains, and a 16 oz. fountain soda for $9.99 is excellent. There are so many unique options of empanadas that you can choose from.Each time I've walked into Island Empanada, the employees have treated me like family and have always been incredibly friendly. I have consistently gone back to this place due to its amazing food, its wonderful hospitality, the abundance of options for its empanadas that you can choose from, and its great pricing. Every time I order from Island Empanada, I know that I can count on it being a quality meal!

Got the box of ten which is a great deal. I've had them in Rocky Point so I had a few favorites picked out already- chipotle chicken and spinach and feta, which were delish. I decided to try a plain beef, beef with cheese, and loaded potato. The two beef were delicious and I wish I had ordered more. The loaded potato was good but I've had others that I liked more. I also got an oreo empanada which will knock your socks off. All of them had a crispy crust, cooked to perfection - not burnt or underdone, or too thick or thin for that matter. Ordering was a breeze, ordered online for pickup but the store front says delivery. They were ready in ten minutes! Keep in mind it was a Monday night around 7:30, though. Overall, great spot and excited that they're nearby
