The appetizers we excellent but we all had fish and it was dry and hard. Bronzino and red snapper should not be cooked this way. I am hoping it was just one bad night. Have eaten there before and had a different experience

We shared octopus as an appetizer. My date ordered the ribeye special medium rare and it come out medium. It was returned. I had the red snapper Luciano ordered medium and it came out medium well. The original wine that we order (Sauvignon Blanc) was awful so we replaced it with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. We would not go back for dinner

We 4 seniors went on a Tuesday when they opened. We wanted to take advantage of the price fixe and were we surprised to see such a menu that was full of their popular and otherwise pricey items. We all left with a doggy bag and a full stomach. Our waiter was overly pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us. I mentioned early on we had 2 birthdays and he served those desserts with candles and the waiters singing. The place is beautiful. I’m going back for my birthday in May.Parking: The earlier the better.

The seven of us, 3 couples and a friend had a 5:30 reservation at Matteo's to celebrate one of the couples 24th wedding anniversary.We ordered from the $39.95 3 course dinner menu which included an appetizer, main course, dessert and a free glass of house wine or domestic beer.Among the appetizers we ordered were stuffed mushrooms, baked clams, zucchini fritti and calamari fritti. They were nice sized appetizers for one. Tasty and delicious.The main courses we ordered were roasted chicken on the bone with broccolini, grilled atlantic salmon with sauteed spinach, filet of sole oreganata, rigatoni bolognese, chicken francese and chicken marsala. Each plate had plenty of food except the filets of sole which were a little small. Other than that, everyone enjoyed their meal. Very flavorful and pleasing to our palate.For dessert, we ordered the tortoni, biscotti and cream and 2 scoops of chocolate and vanilla ice cream. 4 of us ordered cappuccinos. If you're looking for a fine dining restaurant to eat at with excellent service, delicious food, lively atmosphere then I recommend Matteo's of Huntington.Parking: Parking lot is located on the side of and behind the restaurant.

Frequent the restaurant. Got put in the back area and no one came over for about 15 minutes with a glass of water and some bread. Fish was dry , brussels sprouts had to be sent back. All in all all not a good experience.

Had a delicious dinner last night at Matteo’s. Started with a skinny margarita cocktail which was excellent. For my main I had the special, Oso Bucco. So rich and surrounded by this creamy risotto. It was incredible. We finished with the Bombolini ricotta donuts with Nutella. So moist and light. Just an absolutely great night out with the girls. Will be back for sure!

Excellent food and service. Restaurant is often too loud and crowded . When there are several parties going on in the restaurant it can be overwhelming and hard to enjoy your meal and the company you're with. I noticed that many of the people in the party room spilled over into the main restaurant.
This is the best Matteo's. We frequented Bellmore location years ago and recently the Rosyln location. This one is the best! The building itself is big and decorated well with a classy look. The staff was attentive and friendly. Impressive wine list with all my favorites! We ordered the Sancerre and it was perfect. you know a good place when the bread is delicious. that started us off in the right direction! We skipped appetizers only b/c we were not too hungry but they all looked amaze. The pasta cacio y Pepe was delicious. homemake oversized rigatoni with the lightest balance of cream and pepper. yum. The highlight was the shrimp Luciano. The sauce was supreme! It complimented the perfectly cooked large shrimp perfectly. I can't wait to go back and get the same dish!!

It was fall off the bone perfection with a creamy risotto on the side. For dessert we had the Bombolini. Ricotta donuts with Nutella. They were so light and moist. The service was amazing, our server was very attentitive. Definitely will be coming back!

Matteos renovation is outstanding! Beautiful! (We haven't been there in years due to seating in former Atrium w leaking windows & musty smell.) Last night's celebration with our dear friends was PERFECT! Our Waiter was exceptional, service perfect. We all ordered from the $40 special menu & every plate was delicious. Lots of great choices & even the bread & red wine was good.

I have wanted to visit Matteo's for years and finally got the opportunity last night for my sister's birthday. We made a 5:30 reservation and when walking in, I was so surprised by how beautiful the place was. This must have been a house at one point as you can see how there are different sections of the restaurant which were rooms. Beautifully done either way. Because this is on the nicer side, I was surprised to see people walking in both dressed well and for a baseball game. But I digress... For our appetizers we spilt a Caesar salad, warm mozzarella and fried zucchini. All were great aside from the zucchini which was drenched in oil. We hardly ate that at all. The menu boasts many different pasta dishes and we all enjoyed them immensely! You have the option of family size or smaller portions and we still had food to take home. The desserts were amazing too! And our server Eddie was warm, polite and helpful the entire time. Overall great dining experience. 2/23/2024
