Food is very good. I've eaten there many time. Most of the wait staff are great too. However, they are very loose with the mask requirements among staff, one waitress in particular who wasn't bothering at all and served two people who were clearly vulnerable. I saw her performing that way the following night too despite me telling the manager the night before. I'll go again, but if I see this flagrant disregard for safety again, I'll walk out and never come back. I'd suggest that other diners might want to consider the same.

I've always enjoyed the food from Almarco, but recently had a disappointing customer service experience. I ordered a lunch on Seamless on Sunday at 2pm. It said it would be here in 45 minutes. I called the restaurant at 3:15 when it still hadn't arrived. They said they opened at 3 and the ovens weren't on yet. They hadn't even looked at my order yet. While I understand there may have been an issue with their profile on Seamless where seamless didn't have the right opening time, I never once received an apology. We ended up getting our food after 4pm, two hours after we ordered (we live under 5 min away). No apology, no nothing. On the phone we were meant to feel wrong by ordering - talk about the customer is NEVER right! I frequent this restaurant which made this extra disappointing. We had guests visiting for lunch and it was embarrassing/inconvenient.

I have been here many times and the food is always good! Just ate here again since they opened up for phase 2. It's basic everyday Italian food but always good quality. I will say the service can be slow/ a little weird at times but other then that I always have a great experience.

We stumbled upon this place by accident and we are SO happy we did! The freshest most delicious food, friendly service and cozy atmosphere. The chicken parm was literally the best my husband and I have ever had- tender chicken and amazing authentic sauce (and I'm super picky with sauce as I was lucky enough to have 2 grandmas "off the boat" who were incredible cooks). The flatbread with arugula, prosciutto and parmesan was amazing. Highly recommend, we will now be regulars here!!

My wife and I were going to Huntington for a nice dinner and decided on the spur of the moment to try Almarco and it was a great decision. The restaurant was recently remodeled and look nice. Immediately we knew the service would be outstanding and it was. We each had salads which we fresh and outstanding. We had some wine which was excellent. When our entrees came we were not disappointed, she had eggplant Parmesan and I had lasagna. Both were excellent and the perfect size portions. Highly recommend Almarco.

It's a shame I feel so compelled to write this review because our experience at Almarco Christmas Eve 2018 was a very good one. So much so that our party of 13 made reservations to come back for Christmas 2019. However this time around the experience was absolutely terrible. We were the first table of the night and even showed up a few minutes early. The staff was obviously not ready for the night as our table wasn't set up yet. Our waiter was a nice young man, but seemed helpless as the night went on. It took forever to get our appetizers and the entrees were even longer. It was almost two hours before we got our meals and they were brought out one at a time. The portions were skimpy to say the least. $26 for shrimp fra diavolo over linguini. I got five pieces of shrimp over a small portion of watery linguini. Doesn't seem to meet the price point. They forgot my brother's meal all together so he had to settle for just his side of penne a la vodka as his Christmas Eve dinner. Something seemed off as if the chef didn't show up. The manager was saying the owner was in the kitchen and too busy to come out. Was he cooking the meals? Instead of using a false excuse that they were backed up because all tables showed up at once they should have owned it and explained what was going on. We were the first table to show up and first order in the kitchen. That lame excuse made it worse. In the end they offered a small amount of $$ off the bill, but this poor experience was magnified as it was Christmas Eve. It put a damper on what is always a meal the family looks forward to. I won't be able to justify spending my money here going forward I'm sorry to say. The owner should have told the truth on what was going on. It would have allowed us to be a bit more empathetic at least. Good food is an obvious criteria in judging a restaurant, but so is good service.

Wow! So I tried to get into Joanina's only to find it PACKED. I checked yelp and gave Almarco's a call to see if they could seat 2. I really lucked out on so many fronts. My date was running late and I hung out at the bar, befriending Monica the bartender and the regulars who really made this place feel special. I wasn't just a guest sipping on wine, but a new member of their family. Beyond the great customer service we received, which was AMAZING, the food was probably the most delicious and fresh food I've had in a very long time. I would absolutely come back when I'm in the area, eat some more, and say hi to my new friends.
This spot never fails to deliver. They have good food for convenient pricing, there is no waiting time even when the place is busy.

I don't rave about Italian restaurants. My mother's cooking is incomparable. But the "Sunday special " I had this evening tasted so close that it felt like home. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Moderately priced.
