Jennifer the bartender was absolutely amazing made me and my significant other feel as if we were family, treated us as if we’ve known her for yrs , never waited for a drink and had our food out fast and steaming hot , was as good as when we went back to the old country , best Italian restaurant in the Buffalo area with even better service!!!!

The fries come out nice and hot and crispy served with coleslaw and Mac saladAnd they also give your fresh warm Italian bread and this olive salad that is sooooo goodYou must try this soon. You wont be disappointed (They take reservations and walk ins)Parking: The is parking along Delaware ave and behind the building

I should have taken photos of our meal. The food was so good. We had New England Clam Chowder (10/10), warm Italian Bread with garlic butter (10/10) and served with olive tapenade (10/10). Main entry was Manicotti with two meatballs (10/10)! We’ll go back!

I've heard the food is very good here but unfortunately my party and I never got the chance to experience it..we arrived ( 6 of us with a reservation) more than 2 hours before we needed to leave . Our waitress was well aware that we were on a time frame. It was nearly half an hour before we got a menu ( which we had to ask for). After 45 minutes no sign of our food. Then she, in a fluster, told us she'd give us take out containers saying this is all they could do. So we all took our food with us. The food sat in our car for the 2 hours we were at our next event. Needless to say, food sitting in the car ( thank goodness for the cold) was mushy and unappealing 3 hours later. I understand that restaurants are short staffed these days, but there was no excuse for the waitresses snippiness and lack of communication. No apologies, no attempt to make things right on her part or the manager ( owner?). That is what annoyed us the most. We as customers were cordial and patient and unworthy of her harshness at the end. The " icing on the cake" was when a table of 12 was seated long after us and served piping hot food as we trudged out with our containers. They need to do much much better! That being said, we won't be back.

Had 6:00 reservations for a group of 6. Never got our food until 7:40 and we had to have it packed up uneaten because had to be at an event that started at 8. Wait staff seemed very rushed, maybe the only one. Food wasn't eaten til 2 hours later so can't tell if it was good if not. Probably won't be back.

Went for local restaurant week with my partner and I mentioned restaurant week because I want to extend some grace that what happened to us wouldn’t lilely be the typical experience, so keep that in mind with this review. The special that week was a three course meal for a prix fixe price. A couple items weren’t available by the time we got there even though it was only the first day for restaurant week there and so we have to pivot on a couple things, but those pivots ended up working well in our favor. For example, they were out of the 16 ounce porterhouse steak option, which we both wanted so we got an upgrade to a much larger cut and quality of steak (score!)Everything we had was good from the bread basket to the soup to the main entrée. Both of our steaks were cooked just right and both our server and kitchen staff apologized for the issue, which was nice since there was no certainty we would get steak at all since they were out of the special option. They even provided some complementary pasta as well.We wrapped up the meal with some dessert to go, The last thing to end the experience was the credit card machine/service seem to be down so if you wanted to pay by card, you essentially had to leave your information and they could run it the next day. I was a bit leery about this, but it worked out fine since I didn’t have any cash on me.I’d try Jovi's again at a different time just to see if the experience is a bit more smooth.

Went for dinner 12/22. Haven’t been in a while but always liked it here and food was always good. Our meal was very good, our server was great and very personable. However, one of our water glasses had a lipstick stain on it. Asked for straws and water was warm. Silver wear and dishes old and dingy. My husband ate a long hair that was in Manhattan. I went up to the bar and they gave me another drink, but I would have expected to at least had them take the drink off of the bill and the owner to acknowledge and apologize. I believe he was sitting at the bar when I went up to request another drink. Even though the food and server were great, it left a bad taste and we probably won’t go back.

Went to Jovi’s for the 1st time last evening & what a pleasant experience!Danny the bartender, greeted us very warmly & our drinks were served quickly. The menu was so enticing with a variety of choices. The artichokes francaise were excellent, followed by clams casino & salmon over spinach that disappeared in short order. The place is a “gem” - we’ll be back soon & loved the warm, friendly, neighborhood feeling of Jovi’s!

Celebrated a birthday here with a small group including a few kids. The food was very good! Had stuffed peppers for an appetizer and manicotti with meatballs as my main. Huge portion! Bread, butter and an olive salad was served for the table. I liked that a lot! Everyone enjoyed their meals, chicken Marsala, fettuccine alfredo with chicken. The birthday girl had the last slice of chocolate cake. Cannoli was out that day, the only downside to the visit.

Got take out, the girls at the bar were very nice cashing me out. However, you can't even tell that the place is open from the outside- just because of how dark it is. Granted it was a Tuesday, but maybe they would get more business with some outside lights. I got a steak and cheese pizza, which was awful. It was equivalent to a frozen pizza at home. Also had the sausage tortellini soup, which was decent. My boyfriend had the chicken parm, which he said was very average.

Excellent food & service. The place was immaculate, and very comfortable seating area, where you could look outside while you were in dining
