After getting Armadillo many times I can say it is a great restaurant. The service and food are stellar and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area. The steak is particularly amazing.

Really want to like this place due to the friendliness of the staff and atmosphere, but the food is truly mid. We had tortilla chips and guacamole, carnitas tacos, and chicken mole enchiladas, which are together a good representation of Mexican fare. The high points were the tortilla chips and salsas, and the rice and beans. The guacamole, enchiladas, and tacos were all just ok and actually disappointing relative to the high ratings.
I love the place because the service is really good and its Mexican food is delicious. It’s my favorite Mexican restaurant in Kingston, I recommend it!

I want to thank everyone at Armadillo for reconnecting me to the dining experience. I came here with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday and they outdid themselves with the entire evening. Not only was the ambiance warm and inviting but the staff was beyond lovely , attentive and the food was great! I will certainly be back here for cozy meetups and bites. Their margaritas were also delicious and made with good quality spirits. Thank you so much for making my friend (and the other 2 patrons) birthday a sweet memory !
Always a wonderful experience, under the new owners the food is even better. Food quality is consistent and taste great, the staff is kind and professional, and decor os authentic. Highly recommend stopping in if you are in Kingston.

i am not one to complain but i ordered online and my burrito bowl seemed old and was cold my girlfriends fried Jalapeño shrimp had a 3 inch toothpick in the MIDDLE of it couldn’t see it so when she bit down it stabbed her in the mouth…..ridiculous ??♂️
Insanely mouthwatering steak fajitas. Cozy bar/restaurant with super nice staff and great interior. Mezcal margarita was perfect.Sat at the bar as a solo diner and felt comfortably at home. Chips and salsa were placed in front of me within a fraction of a second of sitting down, which was more than appreciated.Slightly off the main drag but worth the tiny detour down the side street. Such a gem!

We visit Armadillo about once a month and always have a lovely experience. The service is some of the best in kingston, friendly and super attentive. Its a very welcoming place to have dinner. Food is delicious, highly recommend.

Well, the new ownership and management has really dropped the ball, and turned this once Kingston staple and solid restaurant into a typical mediocre Mexican place, no heart, no flavor, no fresh herbs, no heat, no spice, beyond disappointing, just over or under cooked, tasteless, low quality dining. These other reviews boggle my mind. Were we eating at the same place? My tacos were terrible. I even ordered the special: ribs, with a tamarind glaze, sounded good, but just edible, over cooked, not properly seasoned. The guacamole was terrible. My gf is a vegan. She ordered a roasted vegetable tostada just no cheese or sour cream. She got black beans and lettuce on a tostada. No roasted vegetables, no pico, no guacamole, nothing. An embarrassment. It was my birthday and my mother chose this place based on their once gleaming reputation with competent owners and chefs, and on their claim they had vegan options, without really doing any research. My daughter gave a solid “meh” with her tacos, they forgot whole ingredients. She was not impressed. I ate, I pretended to be happy, but I was not, at all. My gf left hungry. Thanks for ruining this place. Awesome. I do not recommend, and unless they get some real management and cooks to whip it into shape, it won’t stay open long.Vegetarian options: No vegan options. Don’t believe it, if they tell you that.
