Greeted by the owner when walked in and sat at the bar for a cocktail. Bartender Steve was friendly and made a great Manhattan with a heavy pour. Our waitress Michelle was very friendly and accommodating. The calamari appetizer had a light batter with great flavor and the halibut bites were so tasty. Main courses were strip steak, bone in pork chop with apples, chicken Lombardo and cod. All 4 of us raved over the flavors of our meals. Broccoli was amazing as well as their French fries. To top the evening off, the owner Denny stopped by our table and was so friendly and gave us a history of the restaurant. Highly recommend for a date night or any occasion.

Best hamburger and fries I’ve ever had in my 63 years. The salmon is the best in town. Chops is always reliable and consistent. They have a good number of regulars as well as an affordable menu with plenty of meals to choose from for every person in your party. The servers are wonderful. Be sure to say hello to Denni, the owner, on your way out. He’s as much a part of the restaurant as the food is.

Solid. Cool old building in up and coming Kingston. Solid drink - good pour and well made Old Fashion. We kept it simple - salad and burger Good fresh salad - large enough for two. Excellent perfectly fired burger. Finished with a well prepared dessert. Pleasant welcoming appreciative staff.

Great lobster bisque. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking can be a challenge.

Best escargot of all time. Possibly the best burgers as well. And lamb. And … owner. Denny is a good soul.

We've tried a few items from their menu. We were happy with everything we have ordered, but I would definitely recommend the 14 oz. Bone in Center Cut Pork Chop with garlic mashed potatoes. Definitely worth the price.

Chops has a broadly appealing menu, featuring both classic as well as innovative dishes. There are also many choices from a specials menu to add to the possibilities! Everything is extremely well prepared, service is professional, and prices are consistent with high-quality, finer dining. Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed all of their meals. An excellent choice for a special occasion or just when you want a nicer meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Recommended without hesitation!

A friend and I went here for dinner tonight based upon a recommendation from someone. We arrived at 5:45pm and was promptly seated, noticing there was only one other table of customers, but it was a large party of ten. We ordered pretty quickly and then the wait began. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive ... one chicken and one buttermilk fried chicken dinner. My friend loved his chicken with vegetables and mashed potatoes and finished it. My buttermilk fried chicken was overcooked with a very dark brown look to it. Upon biting into the first piece, it was very crunchy (again, overcooked), greasy and tasted like the oil needed to be changed days ago. The vegetables and mashed potatoes were good, but I couldn't eat two of the four pieces. When it came time to pay, we were told that if we paid with a Visa or Mastercard, there was a 4% service fee. If we paid with a debit card or Amex, there wouldn't be a service fee. By the way, for two chicken dinners each with vegetables and mashed potatoes, one cup of soup and two beverages (iced tea and Diet Pepsi) the bill was $81! An hour wait for food (in a nearly empty restaurant), burnt fried chicken and a 4% service fee was all I needed to insure that I can't recommend this restaurant nor would I ever go back.

Fantastic! Great steak. Great chocolate cake for desert. In the heart of Kingston it was a fabulous experience for road weary travellers. We needed a simple good meal. Such a lovely, kind hostess, waiters, and owner. Highly recommended.

This is a great little restaurant. They start by giving you homemade hummus with warm pita. The cocktail was spot on. I had the shrimp cardinale it was delicious. Great staff and service

3 Cheese Soup was cold, food was overpriced for flavor, uniqueness, and quantity.

Cozy place. I had a really good strip steak and my son's lamb chops looked delicious. The hallway to the restrooms needs a light bulb.
