The owner isn't ignorant homophobic Trump supporter who will fill your ear with all of the evils of not supporting a fascist Criminal . I wouldn't go near this place with a 50-ft pole.

I thought I wrote a review for this place, I guess I must have been mistaken. This place is out of this world good, you've never had pastries as they make here, incredible! Everything here is homemade and local and delicious. I think my attached pictures say it all.......

Know for their breads, cookies & cakes this eatery has been in the family for two generations. Known as a "konditerei" or one serving pastries, as well as, a cafe; you'll find some of the best food in town. Some of my favorites are: gazpacho, chicken salad, apple strudel & raisin pumpernickel bread! Great for b'fast or lunch & everything is homemade!

Been going here for about 35 years. Used to be a great place. The service has changed recently and not for the better. I keep getting wrong orders and when I explain the order is wrong they try to gaslight me. For example they tried to tell me Italian bread is sliced white bread. When everyone in the tri-state area knows it's a baguette. When taking an order over the phone they'll take your order even if they don't have something. Then when you arrive and get a wrong order they'll tell you they never had what you ordered in stock. At this point if I'm desperate enough to get food there I have to expect a problem and an argument. I used to love this place so much I had them make my wedding cake years ago. I'm not sure what the owner was thinking by restaffing, probably cheap labor. You're better off just going to one of the new hipster places in uptown for food. Nothing lasts forever.

My husband and I attempted to see sights in Albany, but most places were closed for Juneteenth. Poor planning on our part, we lost track of days being on vacation. We were feeling a little down. I decided to look for a place to eat and found Dietz's on trip advisor. Didn't want fancy, just wanted to eat and move on to tomorrow. WOW! Beautiful patio, I thought moderately priced meals and very attentive servers. THEN the meals came. SO much food, and very good. This was comfort food for us. Roast beef, mashed potatoes and veggies and cabbage and corned beef for the hubby. Plus a delicious salad, soup AND dessert. Ended up with a "to go"box for half my meal and the puddings. Honestly we could have shared a meal; they were large portions. So this was an inexpensive meal when you consider the amount of food. Thanks Dietz Diner for turning our day around!

Wait staff for restaurant was friendly and helpful. The southern comfort chicken tasted great and the bakery afterwards made the experience perfect. We couldn't decide on what to get so we got a variety of turnovers, gourmet cupcakes and mini canolis. All were delicious. Highly recommended

Went in around 4pm and it was such a pleasant experience! The young man helping us was so nice and patient explaining what items are. We strongly suggest a visit! Everything was delish....

Outstanding! The selection at Deising's is remarkable. The glazed croissant twist is truly memorable. Try it--you'll be hooked, too!

Horrible customer service. My order was wrong and it was like pulling teeth to get it corrected. Stay as far away as possible from this place.

Omg. Where do I start? I only live 45 minutes from here and today was my first visit. I had soup and quiche. Both delicious! The bakery was amazing!!! Their bread was an eyes rolling to the back of your head experience. We got a marble rye and we couldn't wait to go home and toast it. AMAZING!! Only $5.25 for the most delicious bread. They make a cheese coffee cake. It's at least 12 inches round and only $8.50. DELICIOUS!!! It's so worth the extra drive to go into downtown Kingston for your baked goods.

Too sweet too sweet too sweet too sweet too sweet so sweet so sweet. They use much too much sugar in their products. You don't have to make things sweet to make them taste good.
