Visited on 11/10. Stephano is amazing. He gave us phenomenal service. What he actually did not know is that it was a very special night for us and we had reservations across the street; however, we were not fans of the atmosphere and left. He was so attentive and oustanding. My partner does not speak much English and Stephano even spoke in Spanish for us. Thanks to him, this was the best restaurant experience I may have ever had. I already shared it on facebook. The steak was cooked exactly to my liking. My partner loved his snails and salad. We even got an excellent dessert. It was cold outside and they had heaters and were very attentive. Prices were reasonable. Beautiful place and outside seating was lovely.Highly recommend and ensure Stephano is your server!

We were happy with every single dish we had tonight, from appetizers to entree to dessert, and even the coffee was deliberately made to our satisfaction. Will definitely come back for other dishes on the menu!

You can count on always having some of the best food in your life at this small, quaint bistro.  Jean Jacques the owner is almost always on site, making sure your experience is second to none. Their is not a bad thing on the menu!!

Food was good, lovely atmosphere. Nothing really stood out to us but, food was still great. Was nice to eat at an authentic french restaurant

My husband and I adore this restaurant.  It is far and away our all-time favorite restaurant. We went on our first date here and have come many times since. The food: divine, the service: makes you feel like a rockstar, and the ambience: romantic & warm. The owners know us and always make us feel taken care of. I love dressing up and going to this very special joint. It is solidly old-world charm and wonderful service, often a thing of the past in this crazy world we're living in. Nice to know they still exist and coupled with the best food ever! PS- hands down, the best raw oysters anywhere! The mignonette that accompanies it is pure wow.

Loved the food and the service. I happened to be here when I booked the train ride to Catskills Mountains. I m so glad I landed here.

We had a fabulous birthday dinner at Le Cenard Enchaine. Five star service and the chef was very attentive. The food was fantastic. Delicious shrimp and crab cake with an incredible sauce. We also had escargot and for dessert we had creme brûlée. I recommend having dinner at the best restaurant in Ulster County.

The food is great. Onion soup is a must. The steak was also really big and delicious the reason it lost 2 stars is because of the experience with the waitress. She did not assist and did not recommend things because in her words “I don’t know what you like” as she got close to our face. It was the weirdest experience we have had.

Had a fantastic dinner here. The staff was warm and welcoming and you wouldn't be able to tell there was a pandemic from the energy inside and outside of the restaurant.  My friend and I shared the Caesar salad, mussels and the duck and each dish was delicious. Highly recommend!

We chanced upon this lovely little hidden gem earlier tonight. We live in Midtown Manhattan and our general impression of upstate dining is that it all closes very early but this place was not only open but seemed to be decently (but safely) occupied even during the CoVid19 restrictions. The lighting and setup was warm and authentically Parisian (not just a couple of token distressed mirrors thrown in). The small gathering of patrons at the bar gave the impression of being regulars and contributed to the mood.

But the highlight was the food! We shared an appetizer of French sausage on warm potato salad which was just scrumptious and frankly hearty enough to qualify as a main course by itself.

For mains, we had the Trout Almandine, which was flaky, garlicky and cooked just right, served on jasmine rice which had a little tart kick (lemon?); and the salmon which was cooked medium rare, just like we like it, served on a cabbage ragout which was caramelized so perfectly it was like a jam.

We had a glass of excellent Languedoc Pinot Noir, and the vodka martini was made expertly and served him-chillingly cold, slightly dirty  with three olives

We will definitely go back again :-)!
