Authentic! Sushi made by SushiMakio's chef with no doubts are the very best sushi i have had in the past 10 years. I was mesmerized by the famous chef , doing his art right there on the other side of the counter. I actually felt like I'm reliving "Kill Bill 2" scene when she had sushi in Japan. What else to say, we are very fortunate to have this level of expertise in town. Parking is hard to find , come early and plan ahead ! Thank you chef !For those people writing reviews here disappointed with portion vs price ratio : this is a place of food art not a fast food. If you need to stuff your bellies on a budget, your best bet is buffet or hot case in grocery store. Chef skills, selection of produce and all together decent way fo running thr place went into pricing .

Had dinner with a friend tonight…Never going back …!!!We had mussels appetizer, half way through the appetizer we both got spoiled mussels..The older waiter whom had served me many times before and was always nice …had the audacity to say you ate half so you pay for half as soon as I brought it to his attention…."I explained we got the rotten mussels half way through that’s why we ate half .. and please take it off the bill….I said this is not how fine restaurants treat their customers..He dropped the check with the price not adjusted after I asked twiceThe question that begs to be asked is…Was this the decision of the owner/ sushi Chef or a arbitrary decision from the server???????I eat at fine restaurants all the time and I am still in shock we were treated like this is such a high end sushi house …We could have gotten sick from spoiled shell fish…instead of concern… the waiter was rude and condescending…...stay a away from this restaurant!!Ps I now wonder if they 86’d the mussels or kept serving them ????

So my husband and I were hungry and he suggested that we stop and have sushi. My first reaction was not a favorable one, but sometimes we have to do things we don't want to. We went inside, we sat down and ordered the food, came quickly, and was honestly very, very good. The staff was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere definitely lacks and when first impressions are what will make a person come in and eat or not ,I would think that they should amp it up a little, however with that be said the food was very good.
