The cafe is closed to the public. They didn't update their hours on here so we wasted time driving out to find it closed permanently.

Mister Personality

I love their French toast!!!!!

Do not come here for the cafe! It closed to the public 6 months ago. Delicious bread but you’ll have to go to the other locations to buy it.

Please take your sign down if your no longer going to serve the public at your main location which has been open for a long time! The sign on the door is nice but inadequate notification to those that turn around, park and walk to your door in the rain. Your sign on the street is the same as open locations which is now misleading! Please look into this and perhaps put up a new sign saying no public store and cafe anymore??!!?? And perhaps remove the outdoor seating which makes it look like your open. Thank you

Horrible Customer ServiceBread Alone delivered my order to the wrong address. It happens, but the way they responded was totally unacceptable.Even after acknowledging their error, they made no effort to actually deliver it and I had to drive across town to pick it up. Bread Alone refused to make the situation right and when I brought it to their attention, they took punitive measures against me by claiming a false pretext for future deliveries. All because their driver made a mistake. They could have said sorry and made the situation right, but instead, they decided to disregard their customer.I hope to do business with companies that actually care about their customers/clients.

Love it. But! The Kingston/Lake Katrine location is closing to the public next week. ☹️ It will be for production and staff only. Wouldn’t mind working there! ? I just love the cafe here, big, open space, delicious baked goods. I really think this big cafe idea is a good one, but I understand it might not be the priority as production and staff is important, of course.

If bread alone is what you are looking this is the place to go. If you are looking for a welcoming environment you may be better off stopping by your local McDonald's. Harsh words for sure (no offense McDonald's) however my first experience here left a lot to be desired. We were greeted without a smile, hello, or any other form of pleasantry and exited the same. My unfamiliar face may have thrown them off though I would venture that regulars receive the same. While the coffee and pastry were, fair to say, delicious the whole experience will leave a bitter taste in your mouth. I know it did for me.

Highly recommend - the bagels are delicious. I bought the granola as an impulse while waiting in line and I constantly go online to see if there is an option to ship it (there isn’t yet), but is SO good.

I recommend the pecan sticky bun. It's super good. The "cranberry walnut" is just a hard biscuit not much of a fan, kinda dry. But the place is great! Tons of options that's just what I got. Coffee is good too. But their pastries are their strength for sure. Haven't tried their breakfast options.

Bread Alone bakery on 9W in the Town of Ulster offers the best breads anywhere. It is easy to gravitate to a favorite until you try something else; then every something else becomes a new favorite. The only thing I do not recommend is breakfast. My last four inside breakfasts were the same thing--2 eggs over easy and buttered toast--that should be impossible to screw up. Both the eggs AND buttered toast were 4 for 4 carelessly prepared. The breads and confections are so darn good (I brag about you to out-of-town friends) that I will keep coming back to Bread Alone, except for breakfast.

Stopped for lunch on our way out of Saugerties- Kingston store. Yummy and fresh-always looking for fresh organic food and this is a great find!

The most drably industrial of their locations because it's their HQ, but super tasty bread -- had a killer grilled cheese with a quart of pickled fennel and grabbed a loaf of the buckwheat bread to go (which was insanely good, wish I could find it in Brooklyn). Hoping try one of the other cafes the next time I'm in the Catskills!

Great coffee, great croissants. Nice service personnel. Plenty of parking.
