Honestly, this should get ZERO stars. But the view at least deserves something, so I gave it one.

We walked in for 30 minutes of break, ordered black coffee and a dessert. We explicitly told the waiters/hostess that we were going to be there for 30 minutes. And thus it began!

First, we were almost forced to seat at the bar, while they had plenty of availability inside and even on their terrace. Somehow we were able to convince them to give us that 2-person table inside. In a bit, I saw more tables freeing up and asked the waitress if they could give us that seat. She said yes and we started moving our stuff there. Then another waitress said: "No, you have to eat if you want to sit there". What?! What do you call getting coffee and desserts? Not even at a dinner time when the restaurant is half empty!

Then the host said okay, and took us outside, but didn't give us the table that got just freed up (that I eyed), and instead tried to sit us in the corner, which wasn't protected from the rain that was pouring that day. When I asked what the problem was, she said, "there are other people waiting to walk in". And when I started being vocal about how trashy that kind of service was, she started apologizing and said she was confused. Honestly, even if they gave us that seat, we wouldn't stay there a second longer.

To be fair, I have to touch the food too. As I said, we ordered a lava cake, which was average, and black coffee with milk. Apparently, milk was a tiny creamer box. :)

Very crowded with a party of 20+ at 6pm the day we went. Confusion about server assignments meant we waited longer than other tables for our order to be taken, but we were out within an hour.
Enormous portion & well-cooked seafood platter (two shared it.)
Nice deck overlooking Mirror Lake.

Parking: Lake Placid is always a parking challenge depending on special events and time of day.

It was okay no more, no less. Not busy, not empty. The gorgeous ? waitress was nice. The steak left me with questions. I ordered a filet medium rare. A large chunk of meat came out to me tapered from thick to thin. It was actually well done on one end and rare on the other. I guess getting the middle two bites proper was good enough. It came out very late compared to everyone else's meal and made me wonder if I was forgotten, and they just slapped it on at the last second.

Pros:
- strong cocktail
- friendly staff

Cons:
- ordered 5 steaks rare/med rare. All came out medium well/well done
- 14oz steaks, mine was more like 8. Significantly smaller yet the same price as the rest

My chicken parmesan was microwaved, super overcooked, and had no flavor outside of the cheese. The cocktail was tasty so I'll give two stars, but the food was really poor.

Great place to eat when in Lake Placid. The food here is amazing. Their service was excellent! We arrived around 4:00 pm for dinner. We were given a table on the back porch overlooking the lake. Overall great experience!

Our first time in lake placid and we came here after a long hike, our family of 5 we asked to be seated outside and they were happy to accommodate us. Our server was very kind that my kids started cleaning the plates and helping clear the table to make it easier for him! Food was good, the fish and chips actually was great it was well seasoned not oily and very nice.

Sat outside, put six of us at two square tables.
Food was ok. No tentacles in the calamari, squeezy blue cheese dressing on my salad and the mixed vegetables were frozen, not fresh. the price did not reflect the quality of the food I received
Kembi was a fun and attentive server.

Very nice place. One of a very few restaurants in entire LP area with a real menu, not just pub food. Food was excellent, with large portions at reasonable prices. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommended.

This place has possibly the worst service I have encountered in Lake Placid, we called and reserved over a week in advance for our group of 14. We showed up for our reservation and they said there was no record of our reservation and made ZERO effort for a solution to their mistake. We are very disappointed.
