Jimmy's 21 Lake Side Italian Restaurant

This was the first time in 40 years of dining at Jimmy's 21 that we were disappointed in the food and the service - made worse by the fact that the two of us who have dined there over decades brought out-of-town friends there as a treat. Although there seemed to be sufficient wait staff, they were slow to take drink orders, serve drinks, take food orders and deliver food. One of us ordered the branzino special at about 6:30 p.m.; after about 10-15 minutes, he was told they were out of it. The substituted haddock dish arrived only warm, rather mushy and in semi-congealed butter. Luckily, two other dishes - both classic veal preparations - were, as expected, wonderful. The fourth dish seemed so-so. None of the entrees came with salads, which they had in the past, maybe because of today's higher costs??? Bread did arrive early on, which was good given the following service delays. I'm sad to report this and hope it was a fluke but the haddock alone may keep us from ever going back.

A great place to eat and to have a date night at. Our meal was very good and we would definitely go back again!

We have eaten at Jimmy's many times. They never disappoint. Classy service with delicious food.

Amazing!! We had an amazing meal and our server was great. The espresso martini was amazing! The chicken parm and penne ala vodka was too. Will return when back up there!

We sat on the deck overlooking Mirror Lake. Beautiful setting. Food and service were both excellent !

We dined while on vacation for our anniversary and absolutely loved it here! 5 stars. ⭐️ Fantastic food and a very welcoming atmosphere. The guys at the front table even stopped us to ask how our meal was. Bravo! We spent even more money on a different restaurant the day before and it wasn't nearly as good as Jimmy 21's!!! We are from Atlantic City but we will definitely be back someday! ❤️

Recommended by a friend. Entire dinner reservation - appetizer through completion was outstanding. Food was served timely, hot and delicious. Finished dinner, dropped leftovers at High Peaks and returned to bar for drinks and baseball game. Bar staff was outstanding and warm, engaging and fun. Great evening and experience.

Fish entree over cooked. Ribeye steak entree tough. Wedge Salad not as expected fake bacon bits, no crumbly bleu cheese and no balsamic reduction drizzle. Oyster appetizer ok. French onion soup was good. Fish entree was removed from bill and cost for dining was $275 with tip. Overall, not very good. Maybe Luna's restaurant next time.

Food was excellent; we each had one of the daily specials. Service was very good. Sat outside on the balcony overlooking Lake Placid on a fall evening. Lovely!

Jimmy's is the place to go. The food was fantastic, the views are fantastic, service was top notch, my wife and I loved it! Jimmy himself was walking around talking to everyone, making sure everyone was happy with their food and keep the restaurant front rolling. It was relatively loud, but I see that as a good thing. Everyone was talking, laughing, enjoying company, and almost nobody was on their phone. It was a breath of fresh air. We might plan another trip to Lake Placid just to go back to Jimmy's 21!

Beautiful venue overlooking the lake for tradition Italian food. The owners and staff were very welcoming. The Food was very good. My Dessert was amazing too...Chocolate mouse!

My husband and I Went here for dinner Overlooking Mirror lake. They were able to accommodate us quickly even without reservations, and the server was extremely kind and service was quick, made dining with our three month old an stress-free experience . Patio has fire pits and heaters for chilly evenings. It was very comfortable.

Had a great dinner there tonight. Had a summer bees cocktail. It was delicious. Crab cake and calamari was good. Scallops were the best I have had. Fresh pasta was good. Lobster ravioli could be better.

Service was good but the way people are seated is a bit strange.

Only negatives was that it was pricey but the view made it worthwhile. The music they placly is horrendous and Very strange.

Water glass at our table had lipstick on it. Lobster bisque had no chunks of lobster meat. Burger tasted ok but we asked for medium rare and not a sign of pink to it. Mediocre at best for lunch.

We had a fantastic late night dinner here last night. We had a view of the lake and enjoyed the food, cocktails, and appetizers. The level of service was unexpectedly superb. They far exceeded our expectations.
